Building Inspector stated he issued the permit to move <br />it, that it was moved on a temporary basis. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI STATED THAT SECTIONS OF CHESTNUT STREET WERE PUSHED UP IN FRONT OF <br />Mrs. Jamieson's place'and asked if this could be repaired. City Manager Rolison <br />stated that City Engineer Jain had reported that not much had been done east of <br />i <br />Chestnut or West of Woodside,,that there was some money for labor but none left for <br />materials. However, some patching could be done. Mr. Britschgi asked if money <br />F could be borrowed from the Federal money for Harbor Road and paid back. Mayor Wexner <br />P <br />I <br />stated this had been removed. <br />CLAIMS NOS. 4766 to 4872 inclusive in the amount of $75,100.47 were approved for payment <br />on motion of Councilman Swift, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried. <br />COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST SUGGESTED THAT PURCHASES BE MADE LOCALLY IF POSSIBLE AND REFERRED TO <br />sledge hammers purchased in San Francisco. A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, <br />H. E. Holmquist, A. H. Morgan, Jr., R. V. Spillers, A. V. Swift, Mayor W. M. Werder, <br />and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present were: City Manager E. A. Rolison, City <br />Engineer Glenn Jain, City Collector P. E. Perrin, Assessor -Auditor J. J. Brophy, <br />Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Building Inspector L. M. Duncan, Administrative <br />Assistant Richard D. Miller, Police Chief C. L. Collins, City Attorney C. B. Currie, <br />Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Assistant Building Inspector Stephen Kreiss. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of the regular meeting of November 15th, were approved as <br />mailed on motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />BID OF $300 was offered by Chas. Wm. Diel, 250 Myrtle Street, for Lot 4, Block 4, Stambaugh <br />Street Addition. City Collector stated this was lower than the assessed value. <br />Mayor Werder suggested this be referred to the Real Estate Committee for further con- <br />sideration. BID OF $200 was offered by Anthony E. Fritz, 1230 E1 Camino Real, for <br />Lot 22, Block 12, West Redwood Tract, a 25 ft. tax owned lot which adjoined his <br />property. There were no other lots next to this which could be joined to it. The <br />Fritz property was at St. Francis Street. Both bids were denied on motion of Council- <br />
