NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, and <br />said <br />council <br />operty herhereboveeclare,bed that <br />the <br />buildings tr structures situated upon the <br />realy Public nuisance, and does hereby direct <br />the owners thereof to abate said nuisance within thirty days from the adoption of <br />this resolution by having said buildings razed or removed, and if said buildings are <br />not so abated b said owners the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City is <br />hereby ordered and directed to raze or remove said buildings; and that the expenses <br />thereof be made a lien on the lot or parcel of land from which said buildings or <br />structures are removed, and which is heroin above described. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meet - <br />ing thereof, held on the 7th day of August, 1950, by the following vote: <br />ACES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen: GRANGER, HERKNER, JONES, ROI SPILLERS, BRITSCHGI. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NOME <br />ABSENT, Councilmen- MORGAN <br />ATTEST: <br />HALYti 5 - TJ&Dd.N <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />CARL A. BRITSCHGI <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />HOI'iARD HALL APPEARED REPRESENTING THE VETERANIS COORDINATING COUNCIL AND STATED THE BUILD- <br />ING ON STANDISH & WARREN WAS IN NEED OF REPAIR, something should be done about the <br />roof and plaster on ceiling. Building was owned by the City. Mayor Britschgi sug- <br />gested the matter be turned over to the City Manager for a report from' the, Building <br />Inspector. City Attorney to report about the LEASE. MR. FRED PRIEST, DISABLED <br />VETERANS, APPEARED LATER IN RE TO THE PROPOSED LEASE. They had formed a committee <br />to meet with the appointed Council Committee of Morgan and Royer. Mayor Britschgi <br />suggested Councilman Morgan call a meeting of the two committees. <br />PLANNING COM14ISSION RECO181EITDED APPROVAL OF FINAL MAP OF ATHERVOOD GARDENS, subject to (1) <br />that any engineering errors be corrected, (2) that the City Engineer approve all <br />improvement maps, (3) that all provisions of Ordinance 631 be complied with (4) that <br />the future plan line for widening Woodside Road be shown on the final map. Attached <br />to the map was a letter from George S. Nolte, 310 University Avenue, Palo Alto, re- <br />questing approval of map for the owner, Oliver L. Johnson. Councilman Jones moved <br />approval subject to above condition, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />HARDING, SAPPHIRE, ST FRANCIS STREET IMPROVEMENTS. Affidavits of posting and publication <br />were ordered filed by the Mayor. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, HARDIhG, SAPPHIRE, ST FRANCIS STREET IMPROVEMENTS. After the bid opening <br />it would be approximately 12 days before the contractor could start the work, but <br />work would have to be started within 27 days. Work would be started anytime from the <br />99 <br />17th or 20th of September to the 5th or 6th of October. The work was scheduled for <br />60 working days which shouldn't run over 30 months. Total estimate was $35,000, approx- <br />$11 per front foot,15 year bond. There were no oral or written protests. <br />RESOLUTION 930 OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE & NECESSITY, HARDING, SAPPHIRE, ST FRANCIS- Council- <br />man Royer, offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and <br />carried on roll call.
