<br />RESOLUTION OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE
<br />AND NECESSITY
<br />HARDING- SAPPHIRE- ST. FRANCIS
<br />of Jul 1950, the City Council of the City of Redwood
<br />WHEREAS, on the 17th dad Y,
<br />City adopted a Resolution of Preliminary Determination to make public improvements 14
<br />the City of Redwood City, being Resolution No. 920 of said Council, to construct ter. i
<br />tain public improvements more particularly described therein, and did fix thereintht!
<br />date as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested may appear ;
<br />why the City Council should not find and determine
<br />and show cause, if any they have,
<br />that the public convenience and necessity require the improvements described and re•
<br />(erred to in said resolution without compliance with the Special Assessment, Invssti,
<br />gation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931; and
<br />WHEREAS notice of the adoption of said resolution and of said time and placeof
<br />hearing was given by the City Clerk by publication and posting for the time and in tk,
<br />manner provided in said resolution and Ordinance No. 515 of the City of iredwood City ti
<br />as appears from the affidavits on file with the City Clerk; and
<br />WHEREAS no persons objecting to the undertaking of said proceedings without first
<br />complying pith the provisions of said Special Assessment, Investigation, y.imitation,
<br />and Majority Protest Act of 1931 have filed written objections thereto with the City
<br />Clerk at or before the time fixed for this hearing by persons interested, owning or
<br />having an interest in real property within the proposed assessment district, bearing
<br />their signatures, a description of their property, and a statement of the nature of
<br />their interest therein; and
<br />WHEREAS all persons have been given an opportunity to be and were fully heard,
<br />and said Council has duly considered any and all objections and protests made, andth!
<br />said proposed improvements and the public convenience and necessity for making the
<br />same;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood
<br />City, as follows:
<br />1. That public convenience and necessity require the improvements described in
<br />said Resolution No. 920.
<br />2. That any and all objections and protests made pursuant to said resolutionbe,
<br />and the same are, hereby overruled and denied.
<br />3. That the improvements described in said resolution be made under and pur-
<br />suant to the provisions of Article I of the Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordin.
<br />ante No. 333, adopted March 14, 1932, as amended), and that the Special Assessment,
<br />Investigation, Limitation and hIajority Protest Act of 1931 shall not apply to said
<br />proceedings.
<br />PASSED and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meet.
<br />ing thereof, held on the 7th day ofAug;ust, 1950, by the following vote;
<br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution,
<br />Councilmen: GRANGER, HERKITER, JONES, ROYER, SPILLERS, BRITSCHGI.
