I hereby approve the foregoing resolution <br />this 15th day of August, 1950. <br />CARL A. BRITSCHGI <br />Mayor of the City of Redwwod City <br />plSOLUTION 937 REQUESTING BUARD OF SUPERVISORS TO FORM AN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT IN ORDER TO <br />PROCEED WITH THE EXTENSION OF WhIPeLE AVENUE was offered and moved for adoption by <br />Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried on roll call. <br />,RE SOLUTION No. 937 <br />REQUESTING CONSENT OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br />TO FORMATION OF AN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT TO <br />COVER COST OF IMPROVEMENTS ON WHIPPLE AVE. <br />109 <br />WHEREAS -the Council of Redwood City, intends to order certain improvements to be <br />made, which improvements will be constructed partially within the City of Redwood Cit y <br />and partially within the unincorporated area of San Mateo County, California; and <br />WHEREAS said Council has determined that the public interest and convenience re- <br />quire said improvements; and <br />1;,T1EREAS said improvements to be constructed are more particularly described in <br />the proposed resolution of intention attached hereto and made a part of this resolu- <br />tion; <br />N01k, THEREFORE.. IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of Redwood City as follows; <br />1. That the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County are hereby requested, in <br />accordance with the provisions of Sections 5117 and 5118 of the Streets and Highway <br />Code of the State of California, to give their consent to the performance of the <br />work described in the aforementioned proposed resolution of intention and give their <br />consent to the formation of an assessment district described in said resolution of <br />intention, to pay the cost of the work described in said resolution of intention. <br />2. That the Clerk of this Council be and he hereby is ordered and directed to <br />forward a certified co.)y of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo <br />County, California. <br />(See Resolution of Intention #946 Adopted August 21, 1950 - Page 123 ) <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meet- <br />ing thereof, held on Une 7th day of August, 1950, by the following vote; <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen; GRANGER, HERKNER, JONES, ROPER, SPILLERS, BRITSCHGI. <br />NOES, <br />ABSENT, <br />ATTEST; <br />Councilmen; <br />Councilmen; <br />NONE <br />MORGAN <br />RALPH S. Councilman Granger moved that this condition by referred <br />to the Planning Commission for serious study for e method to control houses being <br />turned into business establishments and referred to Brewster near Arguello.
