JULIA STITdPSOT<; Spoke briefly voicing approximately tYe <br />same objections as noted above. ! !P <br />pETER SORENSEN: Spoke in favor of the project stating that the plans should be followed <br />in so far as possible as the improvement would be good for the City. <br />AfR, ERNEST WILSON spoke generally on the project stating that the job was a difficult <br />one, and that the usual policy for spread of assessments was followed. He stated <br />that he was interested in giving the best possible plan to the people at the most <br />satisfactory price <br />LARRY BRIAN of Frost & Brian stated his firm was engaged to design the project which lit <br />had been worked out in accordance with a standard plan used by allcities. The 4i <br />plan lines had been set some months ago by the Planning Commission. 'He stated <br />further that possibly sane of the work could be eliminated such as narrower side- <br />walks, less electroliers etc., but in his opinion the pumping plant was necessary. <br />The assessment for extending Marshall Street and the construction of the bridge <br />could possibly be spread over a larger district.'iI,; ! f <br />I; <br />ACTING -14AYOR GRANGER agreed with the suggestion that a committee be appointed to study ill, <br />the project and report their recommendations to the Council at a later date.';I <br />Councilman Spillers moved, seconded by Councilman Royer, that the Mayor appoint <br />such a committee.Ilotio. carried Following were appointed: Attorneys Wagstaff) ! r <br />, } <br />Engineer Jain, Frost & Brian and 5 property owners to <br />Black, Guido,, Wilson., City <br />be selected by the balance of the committee.
