Letter from City Engineer Jain raised <br />question regarding culvert which would be necessary; 1. Should Redwood Avenue property owners pay for <br />? <br />a . <br />the culvert if constructed; 2. Should street work be extended to the creek leaving out the culvert; <br />3• Would the City allocate any funds to the culvert; 4• Should improvement district be enlarged in <br />I <br />order to spread assessments for the bridge over a larger area. Councilman Royer moved the matter be <br />placed on the agenda, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. Councilmen will look the area over. <br />COUNCILMAN MORGAN left the meeting. <br />RFSOLUTION 962 AUTIiORIZING CITY TIAbIAGER TO REQUEST FUNDS PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS SWIM POOL. Councilman <br />Granger offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried on roll call, <br />Councilman Herkner, Morgan and Spillers noted absent. <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION 962 <br />j; AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO REQUEST FUNDS FOR PREPARATION OF <br />ENGINEERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR SWIMMING POOL PROJECT <br />ti'MEREAS3 the State of California under Chapter 1.47, Statutes of 1944, (4th Extra Session) has <br />appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of Finance to provide financial assistance to Local <br />Agencies defined therein as counties cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to <br />r exceed one-half of the cost of the preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or architectural de- <br />signs, and working and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter called "Plans") required for <br />postwar public works projects described as "specific projects" in said Act: and <br />a, <br />I"d1EREAS, THE CITY OF REDT'd00D CITY hereinafter designated as "Local Agency" desires to apply to they <br />Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board as the case may be for an allotment of the State s <br />share of the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned and there has been pre- <br />Pared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration an application for such prupose; and <br />8i <br />WHERE -AS; Local Agency has provided' or will make available upon approval of the aforementioned appli- <br />cation, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned; <br />NODI THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED., that Local A enc submit the aforesaid application to the Director of <br />Finance and/or the State Allocation, Board as the case may he, requesting allotment of One Thousand, <br />Sixty -Seven and 97/100 ($1,067.97) being not more than one-half the cost of preparing said completed <br />plans, or for such amount as may be approved b the Director o£ Finance and/or the State Allocation Hoard, <br />(said allotment to be used for the ruoose of defra ng the cost of preparing said completed plans mm <br />PoDred) for a specific project to be undertaken by local agency and described as "Community Park Swimming <br />�IAiI�l4� <br />It <br />i <br />JP j <br />I i, <br />t <br />,. <br />1 <br />I <br />{ <br />
