<br />AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO REQUEST FUNDS FOR PREPARATION OF
<br />ENGINEERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR TIDE GATE PROJECT
<br />VMREAS, the State of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944 (4th Extra Session) has appro-
<br />priated funds for allotment by the Director of Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies
<br />defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties for the prupose of defraying not to exceed
<br />one-half of the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or architectural designs, and
<br />working and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter called }'Plans") required for postwar public
<br />works projects described as 1+specific projects" in said .Act; and
<br />71HEREAS, the City :of Redwood City,,hereinAfter designated as "Local Agency" desires to applytotte
<br />Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board, as the case may be, for an allotment of theStatc's
<br />share of the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans hereinaf$er mentioned and there has been
<br />prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration and application for such purpose; and
<br />WHEREAS) local agency has provided, or will make available upon approval. of the aforementioned
<br />application, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned:
<br />NOIT THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Local Agency submit the aforesaid application to the Director
<br />of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board as the case may be, requesting allotment of One Thousand]
