Placed on agenda for the adjourned meeting of �6? <br />Sept' 25th to allow Councilmen to look over the location, on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded <br />by, Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />r MAIN INSTALLATIONS SUBDIVISIONS DROPPED from the agenda. <br />oilloy REFUNDING COST OF WATER <br />'nd ? SybIRIS APPLICATION FOR'DW- PERMIT placed on the agenda for meeting of October 2nd., on motion of Councilman <br />seconded by (Councilman Morgan, and carried. <br />vl� Spillers) <br />. Ordinance No- 499 now covers this situation however, it was recalled <br />TRUCKS PARKED ON STREETS OVER NIGHT <br />that some ago it was decided to allow certain persons upon applying to the Police Department to se- <br />cure permission to park cars on streets over night to take care of hardship cases. This concession <br />did not, however, apply to trucks. Chief Wood stated that the Department had never issued written per - <br />nits but had given verbal permission to take care of special hardship cases. Councilman Morgan moved <br />that the Police Department enforce the ordinance except on State highways where the cit had <br />Y no juris- <br />diction. Councilman Royer seconded the motion with the understanding that ordinance be publicized for <br />at least 15 days so that the people would know of the action, also that the Police Department use <br />their otim judgement in enforcing the terms of the ordinance. Councilman Spillers was in f avor of amend- <br />ing the <br />mend-ingthe ordinance to give more leaway, he being of the opinion that ordinance would work a hardship on <br />some citizens. Motion carried. Chief Wood asked for a statement of policy and was advised t'o issue <br />permits at the discretion of the department. <br />i' PftoPCSED STREET IMPROVEMENTS REDWOOD AVENUE FROM JUNIPERO TO FAIRVIEW. This area posed the same problem as <br />that discussed, namely cost of bridge. Councilman Royer moved the matter be placed on the agenda to <br />give the Councilmen an opportunity to look the area over. Motion seconded by Councilman Spillers and <br />carried. <br />P><4MING CO20SION RECOi',QAENDATION TO APPROVE FINAL MAP, CORDILLERAS ADDITION subject to the following con- <br />ditions: <br />1. That industrial way be paved 281 wide with a heavy duty pavement. <br />2. That all recommendations of the City Engineer be complied with. <br />3. That all provisions of -,Ordinance No. 631 be complied with. <br />Recommendation approved on motion of Councilman Royer, seconded by Councilman Herkner, and carried. <br />PIQUIING COINISSION RECOMMEPhDATION APPROVE FINAL MAP ATH ERWOOD GARDENS, subject to the following conditions: <br />L Public utility easements along southerly boundary of tract near Oakleigh Park be shown as a 101 <br />Public Utility Easement and drainage easement. <br />2• That the 171 widening strip along Woodside Road be dedicated for future street purposes. <br />3. That needed anchorage and other Public dtility Easements be indicated on Block 1. <br />4. Revise radii at returns at Atherwood Avenue to indicate future returns when Woodside Road is widened. <br />5. That all recommendations of the City Engineer be complied with - <br />6, That all provisions of Ordinance #631 be complied with. <br />7. That 6+ to Uv street trees be planted every 501 on Woodside and Atherwood Avenue - <br />Attorney Paul McCarthy appeared for Mr Johnson, subdivider objection to condition No. 2 as above. <br />His contention was that his client should not be expected to dedicate this strip without being remunerated, <br />callin <br />g his attention to the fact that the State would pay for the land necessary to acquire for future <br />videning of Woodside Road. IIe also noted that a former map which had been approved and the strip had <br />not been required. hr Wise replied that the former map had been approved, but the omission of the <br />17' strip was through an oversight. He explained further that several subdivisions on Woodside Road <br />had so dedicated land for future street uses, citing Redwood Terrace, Woodside Terrace, and others. <br />Wise stated the Planning Commission had been very -fair with Mr Johnson who had been before the <br />E <br />Commission several times with changes in his plans. Councilman Spillers moved that recommendation of <br />
