<br />Mr. Seifers was present and stated the conditions were being met. Councilman Royer with the under-
<br />standing that the above conditions were acceptable to the petitioners, offered resolution and moved
<br />adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman Jones noted absent.

<br />UNDERTAKING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION
<br />OF
<br />KENSINGTON SQUARE, BLOCK 1
<br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, California, as follows:
<br />1MREAS, a written petition was received by said Council on the 11th day of `September, 1950, for
<br />the annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said City, pursuant to the Annexation of
<br />Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as:codified in Sections 35,300 through 35, 325 of the Government
<br />Code of the State of California, as amended, and said petition has been duly signed by owners of not
<br />less than one—fourth (1/4th) of the land in the said territory by area and by assessed value'as shown
<br />on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Igateo, wherein said territory is situated;
<br />and
<br />WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to said City, is not now included within the boundaries of
<br />any City, and is uninhabited within the meaning of said Act.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS DECREED AND ORDERED as follows. -
<br />1. The territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Redwood City is hereby designated as
<br />Kensington Square, Block 1, and the boundaries of said territory are hereby specifically described as
<br />follows:
<br />Beginning at a point at the most northeasterly corner of lot 1, block 1, Kensington
<br />Square, as shown on that certain map"Kensington Square, San Mateo County, California",
<br />filed at pages 74 and 75 of Vol- 12 of Idaps of the Official San 10ateo County, California,
<br />Records, thence northwesterly 335.57 feet along the northeasterly boundaries of lots
<br />1 through 7, block 1 of said subdivision, thence south by southwesterly 150 feet along
<br />the westerly boundary of said lot 7, and a projection thereof across Harding Avenue in
<br />said subdivision to the most northerly point of lot 1, block 3 of said subdivision, thence
<br />from said point southeasterly 363.25 feet along a line extending along the southerly
<br />boundaries of said Harding Avenue and the northeasterly boundary of lot 1, block 3 of said
<br />subdivision, a 50 foot southeasterly extention of said boundary across Upton Street, and
<br />the northeasterly boundaries of lots 2 and 1 of block 2 of said subdivision; thence south-
<br />easterly along a projection of said line just described to a point of intersection with
<br />northeasterly extension of the easterly boundaries of lots 1 and 3 of block 2 of said sub-
<br />division with the Alameda de las Pulgas, thence northeasterly 87.81 feet along a line con-
<br />stituting a further extension of the southeasterly boundaries of lots 1 and 3, block 2,
<br />thence northerly 87.81 feet to the point of beginning, all as shown on said map.
<br />2. This Council shall hear protests against said annexation made by any person or pgrsons owning
<br />property within said territory on the 18th day of September, 1950, at the hour of 8 P.Id., at the Council
<br />Chambers of said Council, which date is more than fifteen (15) and less than forty (4O)days from the
<br />passage of this, resolution. At any time before the hour set for hearing objections, any owner of
<br />property within said territory may file written protest against the said annexation. Each protest
<br />shall state the name of the owner of the prcperty affected and the description and area of the property
<br />in general terms.
<br />3'• The Clerk of said City shall cause a copy of this Resolution to be published once a week for
<br />the two weeks prior to said hearing in the Redwood City Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation
<br />published in said City.
<br />I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly passed on roll call vote
<br />on the 18th day of September, 19503 by the following vote:
