The Oak, Reese Johnson job was approximately 4% under the engineers estimate while the Alameda job was approximately e 17% higher* Councilman Morgan was concerned over the fact that only two bids were received in nearly all projects contemplated. Then followed discussion regarding penalty clause in contract. City Attorney stated job was bonded and the City had ample protection thereby- -Councilman Spillers introduced resolu- tion awarding contract for the Oak Reese Johnson contract, and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman z HerHner, and carried on roll call.
