H. S. A. into two lots with lis+ frontage <br />onllevada Street. Councilman Granger called attention to the policy. of the Council in maintaining 50 <br />foot frontage. Councilman Morgan moved approval, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />PIANNIDG COMMISSION REC01OEIENDATION RESUBDIVIDE LOT 2, BLOCK 13, OAK KNOLL MANOR, (Circle Road & Hopkins, L <br />Link) into two lots subject to condition that rear 10 feet and adjoining the present park on the rear <br />of the lots be dedicated for park purposes to line up with previous similar dedication. Recommendation <br />approved on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />PROGRESS ESTIMATE - HEDAHL MARTIN SVIDI POOL CONTRACT. Councilman Spillers moved authority to pay 4th <br />estimate amounting to $10,858.50, seconded by Councilman Royer, and carried <br />;il• 1 BROAD'AAY- MARSHALL PUBLIC HEARING. Duly and regularly continued to the next regular meeting of October 16, <br />1950. Councilman Royer explained that the Council had met to study over the report of the Committee and <br />would contact the committee before taking any action. Continuation was moved by Councilman Spillers, <br />seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />PROPOSED AIZU01 IIT TO PROCEDURE ORDI14ANCE 333- Public hearing continued to next regular meeting of October <br />16th on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />1IIEISOII, SECRETARY FOR THE NORTH REDWOOD NEIGHBORS INC, ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND REPORTED THE RESULT OF <br />A POLL TAKEII AMONG TIDE MEVIBERS REGARDING THE PROPOSED AIOMME14T TO ORDINANCE 333• The results of the <br />181 <br />i pollshowed spproximately 901 of the members viere opposed to the amendment. Mr. Nelson stated further <br />t <br />uned• 1 that the thought of the members was that the ,people should have an opportunity to vote on any question <br />v' <br />;'. involving the improvements of a general nature. <br />COL, VIEISS AGAIII ADDRESS TIIE COUNCIL REGARDING PUBLIC HEARINGS generally stating he would again speak on the <br />subject of amendment to Ordinance333 when that subject was up for further consideration. <br />CITY ENGINEER REPORT ON BIDS, L C Smith was declared.• the successful bidder on both jobs. The Oak, Reese <br />Johnson job was approximately 4% under the engineers estimate while the Alameda job was approximately <br />e <br />17% higher* Councilman Morgan was concerned over the fact that only two bids were received in nearly <br />all projects contemplated. Then followed discussion regarding penalty clause in contract. City Attorney <br />stated job was bonded and the City had ample protection thereby- -Councilman Spillers introduced resolu- <br />tion awarding contract for the Oak Reese Johnson contract, and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman <br />z <br />HerHner, and carried on roll call. (Resolution 982) <br />
