<br />ING OF AN ORGANIZATION TO BE KNOWN AS POLICE RESERVE to be made up of the Auxiliary
<br />Police, some 32 of whom had recently completed their training. He recommended that
<br />the City provide uniforms, caps and insignia, the men, when so authorized, to pro-
<br />vide their own arms. After discussion, Councilman Royer moved that a committee
<br />study the matter and report back to the Council as to costs, etc., seconded by
<br />Councilman Spillers and carried. Mayor Britschgi appointed Councilman Granger as
<br />Chairman, Councilmen Royer and Spillers, City Manager Rolison, Chief Wood and City
<br />Attorney Currie,
<br />DEPUTY PERSOIJNEL AND RECRUITMENT OFFICER. City Clerk was authorized to appoint any
<br />one necessary to administer the Oath of Allegiance as deputies, in response to
<br />City Manager's suggestion that Cole Stafford be authorized to ad:•ninister oaths to
<br />Civil Defense workers, on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman
<br />Royer and carried.

<br />OFFICE was read, in which Assessor Brophy stated the immediate need of such
<br />equipment at a cost of $150- Councilman Spillers offered resulution and moved
<br />adoption transferring $150 from Unbudgeted Reserve, seconded by Councilman Jones
<br />and carried on roll call. Councilman Granger stated that Department Heads would
<br />li
<br />be expected to anticipate their annual requirements so that the next budget would
<br />reflect the needs of the various departments thus eliminating the many transfers
