PERSONNEL BOARD HAD BEEN AUTHORIZED TO STUDY THE QUESTION OF UNIFORM All ANCES FOR POLICE OFFICERS AND FIREMEN. Tthe board felt that it would be good personnel practice to in. sure all Firemen and Police Officers for loss or damage to their uniforms or blothing iihile on duty. Coverage up to $200 could be obtained on a 3 -year premium basis for an average annual cost of $5-00 pre. mium basis for the present personnel. This proposal was presented for the Council's consideration. After discussion, Councilman Morgan moved that proper authorities be authorized to take out such insurance for all Firemen and Police Officers, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. LETTER FROM PERSONNEL BOARD STATED THAT IT HAD MADE A THOROUGH STUDY OF JANITOR CLASSIFICATION AND FOUND THAT IT IS IMPROPERLY PLACED IN REGARD TO OTHER POSITIONS IN THE CITY AND WITH COMPARISON TO RATES IN OTHER NEIGHBORING JURISDICTIONS. It was therefore recommended that the classification be raised from Range�12 which is the same range as Laborer to Range #13 which compares with Groundskeeper. The new range would be as follows:216 228 241 254 268. Councilman Morgan moved that recommendation be accepted it and that ordinance be introduced, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. To save advertising costs City Attorney said that this could be included with Deputy City Engineer Ordinance. Uhlenberg Councilman Granger - Henry Tarratt Mayor Britschgi - Al Plaehn City Clerk was to notify each of these persons of their appointment by letter asking them to perform this service and furnishing them with a copy of the letter proposal submitted by P G & E. Citizens Com- mittee was to feel free to call upon any City employee, department head or official to aid them in making a comprehensive study. CITY ATTORNEY IESCRIBED TENTATIVE AGREEMENT By WHICH SCHOOL WOULD AGREE TO CONSTRUCT WATER LINE ALONG SCENIC DRIVE TO THE NEW SCHOOL and would agree to give this line to the City if City agreed to complete the loop within 3 years. This agreement had been gone over by the City Manager and approved by him and was also recommended by the Palomar Water District. Letter complained that she allegedly fell in hole and twisted right foot and leg.
