City Engineer Jain reported that culverts were not <br />advisable in the opinion of consulting engineer. He agreed that there was a possibility <br />of renewing some timbers placing bridge under a load limit and thus open to automoble, <br />traffic. Councilman Morgan moved matter be placed on agenda for further report, <br />seconded by Councilman Jones, and carried. <br />RRTITION FOR STREET 'IMPROVENIENTS JUNIPERO BETWEEN ROOSEVELT AVE AND VERA AVE. Petition <br />contained signatures of 72.21% of frontage. On motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded <br />by'Councilman Jones, City Eng. was authorized to prepare plans and specs, establish <br />assessment district and that the City Auditor be authorized to advance money from <br />the General Fund for engineering costs to be reimbursed from the assessment district. <br />Motion carried. Councilman Spillers moved that proper authorities check into the <br />option to extend Junipero through portion of Lot 25 W. IV. & M. Sub., seconded by <br />Councilman Royer and carried. Agenda. <br />R!ISPECTION BUILDINGS AT 28 BIRCH STREET, CARL H. FRTTSCHEN, OWNER. Inspection reports <br />indicate buildings did not comply with set -backs and were substandard in many respects. <br />Bldg. Inspector Duncan was of the opinion that buildings.could be made to comply. <br />Councilman Morgan moved that the matter be placed on the agenda for the meeting of <br />December 3rd to give Mr. Fritschen an opportunity to repair buildings. Seconded by <br />Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />�30LUKON No. 17.56, DECLARING WEEDS A NUISANCE. Resolution sets November 19th for public <br />hearing. City Engineer Jain requested adoption of this 'resolution earlier than_pre- <br />vious year to allow spraying of weeds if this method is decided to be the best. Coun- <br />cilman Morgan offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner <br />and carried on roll call. <br />IiZODUCTION ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING NO PARKING ZONE ON MAIN STREET along side the Shell <br />Service Station at Pive Points.
