FOR THE PRICE OF 1 <br />lyW $1200 respectively. On motion of Councilman Royer, seconded by Councilman Granger, <br />J <br />City Engineer Jain was authorized to include both of these street extensions in the <br />street improvement projects now under consideration, City Manager Rolison to report <br />on availability of funds to purchase the necessary land for street extensions. <br />};4 Motion carried. <br />AMENDMENT TO DOG ORDINANCE. City Manager Rolison explained that negotiations were under <br />peration of the pound. The County contemplated <br />way with the County regarding future o <br />(.. <br />operating the pound for the City and unincorporated area under the County Dog Ordi- <br />'I ', �' , y , Proposed <br />y nance. City Manager Rolison advised that the City was ready to proceed as <br />soon as the necessary pipe and other materials for the sprinkler system have been <br />I <br />secured by the School District under the provisions of the agreement. The school has <br />experienced some difficulty in procuring these necessary critical materials due to <br />the alleged shortage of pipe. It was suggested that an alternate method using travel - <br />p ai ling sprinklers be.used and.the turfing be started immediately inasmuch as planting <br />season will be closing in approximately two weeks. After further discussion Council- <br />r..Ii c E <br />man Royer moved that we go along with the travelling sprinklers, the pipe necessary <br />for this installation be loaned, if legally possible, for the project, the school to <br />plN return same as soon as possible, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />}; AVAILABILITY AND LEGALITY OF FUNDS FOR SURVEY OF CITY OWTED PROPERTIES. City Attorney <br />Currie advised funds could be transferred from the 1915 Account Funds to the General <br />Fund and utilized to pay for this survey and Councilman Granger moved that the <br />necessary amount be transferred by resolution which will cover only the amount needed <br />to make the survey. Motion seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. This resolution <br />will be prepared and presented when the funds are needed. <br />CITY ENGINEER JAIN REPORTED ON PETITION FOR GUTTER REPAIRS ON ELVOOD STREET. This work <br />is under way at the present time and will be completed within a day or two: <br />REQUEST FOR AUTHORITY REGARDING PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO ADD EMPLOYEES.' This is held <br />over on the agenda to November 19th meeting. <br />STREET PETITION - JUNIPERO BETWEEN ROOSEVELT AND VERA AVENUES. City Engineer Jain recom- <br />mended his office be instructed to prepare plans andspecifications and establish an <br />assessment district for the project to include the portion of Junipero between Roosevelt <br />
