Councilman Granger moved, based on Mr. Jordan's letter indicating saving to the City, that the City proceed with their share of the improvement, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. City Manager recommended employing Paul Adamson to prepare preliminary plans and specifications on creek covering Middlefield Road to Broadway at a cost of 0540. After gerneral discussion as to the value of these plans and the decision that Council would have something to present to the property owners it was the thought that expenditure of this amount of money would be well worth while. Councilman ItiTorgan offered RESOL'UTI'ON 1197 TRANSFERRING $54.0 TO COVER THIS PROJECT and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call, Council- man Spillers noted absent.
