<br />ESTABLISHING PREVAILING' WAGE SCALE
<br />BROADWAY -MARSHALL STREET AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
<br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, that
<br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer of said City has ascertained the general prevailing
<br />rate of per diem wages in the locality in which said public work is proposed to be
<br />performed for work of a similar character to that described in Resol
<br />tion No. 890 adopted July 3rd, 1950; ution of Inten-
<br />WHEREAS, said rate of per diem wages is set forth and contained in the specifi-
<br />cations for said project, copies of which are on file in the office of said City
<br />Engineer and also in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETERMINED AND ORDERED, as follows:
<br />1. That said wage scale as set forth in the said specifications is hereby
<br />adopted as the prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character to
<br />that above described, in the locality in which such public work is proposed to be
<br />performed.
<br />2. That not less than said general prevailing rate of per diem wages shall be
<br />paid for any work proposed to be performed under said Resolution of Intention.
<br />I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted
<br />And passed by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, at a regular
<br />meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of July, 1950, by the following vote:
<br />AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: MORGAN, GRANGER,ROYER, JONES, HERKNER,
<br />and Mayor BRITSCHGI.

<br />RESOLUTION No. 893 APPOINTING TIME FOR HEARING ON AUGUST 14th, BROADWAY -MARSHALL AND VICIN-
<br />ITY IMPROVEIVIE11T DISTRICT. Councilman Morgan offered resolution and moved adoption,
<br />seconded by Councilman Jones and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers noted
<br />absent.

<br />APPOINTING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING PROTESTS IN RELATION TO PROPOSED
<br />IMPROVEMENT AND DIRECTING NOTICE
<br />BROADWAY -MARSHALL STREET AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
<br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, that
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 890 of the Council, adopted
<br />Pursuant to Article II" -A of Ordinance No. 333 of the City of Redwood City, entitled
<br />Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance", as amended, (The Municipal Improve-
<br />ment Act of 1913), the City Engineer of Said City has filed with the City Clerk of
<br />this City the written report called for under Section 2 of said Act,'which report
<br />has been presented by said City Clerk to this Council for consideration,.and this
<br />Council has considered and preliminarily approved and confirmed said report, and
<br />ordered that the same stand as the report for the purposes of all subsequent proceed-
<br />ings had pursuant to said Resolution of Intention;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Monday, the loth day of August, 1950, at the
<br />hour of eight o'clock P.M. in the regular meeting place of said Council, Council
<br />Chambers, City Hall, Redwood City, California, be and t he same are hereby, appointed
<br />and fixed as the time and place for hearing protests in relation to the proposed
<br />Improvements called for under said Resolution of Intention and more particularly
<br />Provided for in said report;
<br />IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the City Clerk of this City be, and he is hereby,
<br />directed to give notice of said hearing by two successive insertions in the Redwood
<br />City Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and by conspiou-
<br />ously postirig'along all the open streets within the assessment district at not more
<br />than three hundred feet apart, and not less than three in all'; said posting and pub-
<br />lication to be had and completed at least twent days before the date herein set for
<br />hearing of protests.
<br />IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that said notices shall be headed "Notice of Improvement"
<br />in letters of not less than one inch in height, and shall, in legible characters,
