<br />RESOLUTION No. 895 CALLING FOR BIDS ON IMPROVEMENT BONDS AUGUST 7th, BROADWAY -MARSHALL
<br />STREET AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT. Councilman Royer offered resolution and
<br />moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried on roll call, Councilman
<br />Spillers noted absent.
<br />RESOLUTION No. 895
<br />CALLING FOR BIDS ON IMPROVEMENT BONDS
<br />BROADWAY - MARSHALL STREET AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT.
<br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, that
<br />WHEREAS, this Council has adopted its Resolution of Preliminary Approval of
<br />Engineer's Report and has set said report for public hearing on August loth, 1950;
<br />under and pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 890 adopted on the 3rd day of
<br />July, 1950•
<br />WHEREAS, this Council has adopted its Resolution Calling for Sealed Proposals
<br />pursuant to said Resolution of Intention, to be publicly opened and declared at the
<br />time of said public hearing; and
<br />WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience require that this Council know the
<br />amount of the bonds to be sold, which are to be issued on the unpaid assessments
<br />levied in said proceedings;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk is hereby directed to call for sealed proposals
<br />for the purpose of said improvement bonds, to be publicly opened, examined and
<br />declared at the time of said public hearing. Said notice shall provide that said
<br />bonds shall be in the amount of the unpaid assessments which shall be determined
<br />upon the expiration of the sixty day cash collection period following the recordation
<br />of said assessment, and shall be issued and delivered to said purchaser forthwith,
<br />following the expiration of said cash collection period. Said bonds shall be sold
<br />for cash to be paid upon the -delivery of said bonds to said purchaser, together with
<br />the legal opinion of the law firm of Messrs. Kirkbride, Wilson, Harzfeld &. Wallace,
<br />approving the validity of said bonds and of the proceedings pursuant to which they
<br />were issued, to be furnished by said City without cost to said purchaser. Said notice
<br />shall be given by publishing a notice of said sale once in the Redwood City Tribune
<br />and by mailing a copy thereof to such bond, purchasers as said Clerk shall determine.
<br />I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted
<br />and passed by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, at a regular
<br />meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of July, 1950, by the following vote:

<br />PUBLIC HEARIIJG ON EAGLE HILL ALLEYS IMPROVEMENTS. There were four written protests; Mrs.
<br />Josephine Mc Glynn, 736 Clinton Street, objected to the sudden drop to driveway into
