There was not sufficient funds in the 0300s000 bond issue to use the tubular joints throughout, so this type of joint was recommended on Project Unit V only, on which the total price was less than the'hot mastic joint. Bids as recommended above will leave approximately $24,000 for field engineering, inspection, extras and incidentals. On Unit I. abtual bid was 15.1% under City Engineer's estimate; on II - 13 8% under; on III - 3.4% under; on IV - 3.7% under and on V - 0.8% over. 0200,000 worth of sewer bonds have been sold to date. Arrangements should be -made to sell the remaining x$100.000 worth of bonds, or to transfer $100.000 from the portion already sold for water main extensions, so that funds will be available to pay progress estimates, engineering costs, etc. City Manager stated they were making a study with the Auditor and City Attorney in regard to sale of additional bonds. City Collector Perrin stated Mr. Tony Sanchez was prepared to purchase the lot if legally possible and would deposit I{' with the City 10% of bid on lot. Mr. Wilson attended the meeting and was the inter- ested buyer. He wanted the property to build upon, was attending school, therefore, Mr. Sanchez, brother of his'financee placed the bid. This was an isolated 25 ft. lot, with a duplex on adjoing 75 ft. lot, owner deceased and tied up in estate, and on the other side was a 50 ft. improved site.
