The Council reappointed Mrs. Helen Myers to the Board <br />for a three year term on motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman <br />Royer and carried. <br />APPOINTMENT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION. The Council reappointed Mr. Andrew Blakely for <br />a six year term to the Planning Commission on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded' <br />by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />MR. JAMES CRAIG, 156 WESTGATE, APPEARED AND OBJECTED TO THE COUNCIL HAVING WAIVED PENALTYl <br />against L. C. Smith Contractor for the Stanley -Westgate project. Some of the delayr <br />this job had been considered legitimate and the Council had therefore waived the <br />penalty. <br />EXTENSION OF OLIVER TO OAK STREET. Adquisition of two lots was referred to the Real <br />Estate Committee on motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by 'Councilman Jones and <br />carried. <br />THE REAL ESTATE COMMITTEE. Councilman Herkner asked for another member to be appointed <br />'I to this committee. <br />!� } PROTEST - VETERAN PEDDLERS. Councilman Granger thought the ordinances should be. co- <br />ordinated on this subject, that they should not be permitted to solicit business, <br />nor should the City accept a. license fee unless the veteran was actually disabled, r <br />and could not carry on in any other type of work. Capt. Douglas and City Attorney <br />Currie are to investigate this. <br />STATUS OF 9HE SIREN REPORTED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. .Chief Lodi assured Councilman <br />�j Granger this was ready for service with a little more detail work. <br />i <br />JULY 4th PARADE. Councilman Granger in charge of the parade entries informed the Council <br />k{ members that cars were prepared for their ride in the parade if they would be at <br />the Court House at 10:30 A.
