DODGE
Clerk of the City of Redwood City
I hereby approve the foregoing resolution
this 11th day of August, 1950
CARL A. BRITSCHGI
x Mayor of the City of Redwood City
REPORT ON BID OPENING FOR FIRE HOSE, Pacific Fire Extinguisher Company was low bidder for
all three items, bidding a. total of $2455.00 delivery in four weeks. The hose was to
t
be manufactured by the United States Rubber Company. In checking samples best hose
seemed to be that submitted by American Rubber Company and H. L. Parkman Company. On
the basis of easier handling, better workmanship and larger amount th?t could be
loaded it was the opinion of the Fire Chief that this bid of $2606.22 would be the
i
better investment if it were legally possible to accept, otherwise the low bid of
of Pacific Fire Extinguisher Company would be acceptable. City Manager concurred in the
t recommendation. The only way the higher bid could be accepted would be to reject all
bids, readvertise and there was the question of raised prices so it eras moved by
Councilman Spillers that low bid of Pacific Fire Extinguisher Co. be accepted, seconded
i
by Councilman Herkner and carried.
RECONSIDERATION OF M J KING WATER LINE MAINTENANCE GUARANTEE, WOODSIDE TERRACE #2.
