32 for �,Tuae 30th, FAY STREET BRIDGE. This resolution set up the sum of 0000 as the <br />City's contribution to the project. Councilman Britsohgi offered resolution and <br />moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1261, PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION TO MAKE 11VIPROVELMNTS AND SETTING DATE OF <br />HEARING FOR JUNE 30th, JUNIFERP STREET. Councilman Spillers offered resolution <br />and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call. <br />REPORT ON UNIFORM ORDINANCECONTROLLING LOITERING I OF MINORS. Chief Wood advised that. <br />the Council could eliminate Section 7 and adopt the balance of the ordinance. <br />After discussion it was decided to adopt the ordinance as published, and immediate- <br />ly amend same by eliminating Section 7. The amendment could be adopted as an emer- <br />gency ordinance and thus become effective on the same date as the original <br />ordinance. Councilman Royer moved adoption of ORDINANCE No. 704, seconded by <br />Councilman Herkner, and carried on roll call. Councilman Britschgi moved, second- <br />ed by Councilman Spillers, that City attorney prepare the necessary amendment for <br />introduction. Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1265 ABANDON 10 -FOOT STRIP FAIRVIE71 AVENUE BETWEEN OAK AVENUE AND REDWOOD <br />AVENUE. Councilman Royer offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Council- <br />man Britschgi and carried on roll call. <br />ABATEMENT REOCEEDINGS BUILDINGS 304 BRADFORD STREET. Mr. A. Witt appeared for the owners <br />and requested a continuation of 60 days to remove building. Councilman Royer moved <br />f. <br />that extension be granted, Mr. Witt to secure from owners a letter guaranteeing <br />removal of building within 60 days. Mottion seconded by Councilman Britschgi and <br />carried. <br />LM. DON 110 CREA APPEARED TO REQUEST THAT SOMETHING BE DONE TO ALLAY THE DUST CONDITION <br />caused by sower job on Hopkins Ave. City Engineer advised there was nothing in <br />the specifications to reZuire contractors to sprinkle. Gity Engineer was request - <br />ad to contact the various contractors in an effort to have this condtion improved. <br />PERSONNEL BOARD RECOMMENDATION MECHANICS HELPER JOB CLASSIFICATION. Councilman Spillers <br />moved approval of the recommendation, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br />ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS BUILDINGS 18 and 20 DILLER STREET. Mr. Holling appeared for the <br />owners. Affidavit of posting ordered filed. Councilman Royer moved that exten- <br />sion of 60 days be granted. Mr. Billings the owner is to submit a letter guaran- <br />teeing removal of tenants within 1 week, and removal of buildings within the 60 <br />day period. Notion seconded by Councilwoman Tinney and carried. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON PARKING LOT FRANKLIN STREET. Mr. Rolison submitted the following <br />estimate: <br />Work to be done on Contract Basis, <br />43,950 sq.ft- 4 -inch crused rock base 3, 20.00 <br />Remove 4 trees 900.00 <br />Removal of 2,200 cu jds dirt 1,100.06 <br />170 lin. ft. 6 -inch retaining wall 1,27 00 <br />Estimated contract price 6:49�-00' <br />Work to be done By City: <br />43,950 sq.ft. 1 -inch A C wearing surface 2,21�4.00 <br />2500 lin. ft. 61, x 611 wood bumpers 1,375-00 <br />Catch basin and grate for storm drain 300.00 <br />Estimated cost City Work 5 3,919.00 <br />Sub -total 10,414.00 <br />Plus engineering & incidentals 1,qL 10 <br />§11,* L�O <br />Mr* Rolison advised there were sufficient funds in the Off -Street Parking Fund <br />for the above work.
