In answer to question <br />raised by Councilman Herkner it was decided that this plan was to be used as.a guide; <br />onl-y'in connection with future salary ordinance. Motion carried. <br />INTRODUCTION OF SALARY ORDINANCE 1952-53- Councilman Royer offered introduc7tion of Salary <br />Ordinance to become effective as of July 1, 1952, seconded by Councilman Herkner and <br />Icarried. <br />RESOLUTION No. 1288 AUTHORIZING ADVERTISING FOR BIDS, SALE OF BONDS, FRANKLIN STREET PRO- <br />JECT was offered by Councilman Herkner, who moved adoption, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Tinney and carried on roll call. Councilmen Britschgi and Jones noted absent. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS WAS EXCUSED AND LEFT THE MEETING 9:00 P. M. <br />AUTHORIZATION OF EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN SCHOOL DISTRICT AND CITY, reference Goodwin <br />Avenue School. City 'Attorney Curried explained agreement covered the work to be done <br />'by M. J. King adjacent to the Goodwin Avenue School and called attention to the fact <br />that School District had already put up sufficient amount of money to cover the con- <br />tract, the City to make payments when due. There is no obligation or liability on <br />the part of the City. Councilwoman Tinney moved that signing of the agreement be <br />authorized, seconded by Councilman Herkner, and carried. <br />AMENDMENT TO JUVENILE ORDINANCE ELIMINATING SECTION 7 thereof, to become effective July 17th. <br />Councilman Royer offered introduction of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Herkner and <br />carried. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI RETURNED TO THE MEETING 9:15 P. P.S. <br />CITY MAIAGERtS LETTER REGARDING CLAIM FOR LEGAL SERVICES CALIFORNIA SQUARE, $5#393-40. <br />Payment was authorized, Councilman Royer offering RESOLUTION No. 1269 and moving <br />adoption transferring the sum of �25,393.40 from the Unbvdgeted Reserve Account to a <br />special account, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call. Councilmen <br />Jones and Spillers noted absent. <br />APPOINTtTNT MEMBERS TO LIBRARY BOARD. Mayor Granger reappointed both Mrs. Thor,ning and Mr. <br />McKeegan to succeed themselves and his appointment were confirmed on motion of Coun- <br />ailwoman Tinney, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REGO1,21ENDED APPROVAL APPLICATION OF FRED CRAFTON TO RESUBDIVIDE PORTIONS <br />OF Lots 6 and 7, Block 6, NHSA (corner Jefferson and Avenue del Ora) into two lots. <br />t. <br />Recommendation was approved on motion of Councilman Royer, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Tinney. Then followed a discussion between members of the Council and 11r. James Mae <br />Donald, who was in the audience regarding the mailing of notices to property owners <br />who might be interested in these resubdivisions, it being the consensus of the Council <br />members that public hearing should be held in all such matters.
