44 <br />IN REDWOOD INDUSTRIAL TRACT No. 1, seconded by Councilwoman Tinney and carried <br />on roll call. Councilmen Royer and Spillers.noted: absent. <br />RESOLUTION No. 1294 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT SOUTHER PACIFIC, COMPANY COVERING <br />PEDESTRIAN GATES AT BROADWAY CROSSING was offered and moved for adoption by Council: - <br />man Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried on roll call. Councilmen <br />Royer and Spillers noted absent.. <br />LETTER FROM PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMVENDING ANNEXATION TAYLOR PROPERTY 56 ACRES ON JEFFER4 <br />SON AVENUE ADJOING TO SW PORTION CARSON MONKTON PROPERTY. Their recommendation in- <br />cluded that adequate water and sewer facilities would have to be determined by an <br />overall engineering study. City Attorney Currie called attention to the fact that <br />the County had been attempting to stop the use of the old house on the property, <br />there being at present 27 persons living in the building. Mr. ,Leo. Joesten -advised <br />also that Mr. Taylot has an idea of setting 'up a-commtin.ity manufacturing-projeet in <br />the area and stated that the commission had made no commitment as to how the area <br />would be zoned.. Councilman Herkner moved that the matter be held over to the next <br />regular meeting of July 21st to allow a committee to check into the matter and report <br />back at that time, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. Mayor Granger <br />appointed the following to the committee, Councilman Herkner, chairman, Cowicilmembers <br />Britschgi and Tinney. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOI, LADED RESUBDIVISION OF Lot 9, Block 4, Friendly Acres No, 1 <br />(Tenth Avenue south of Hoover). into two lots subject to deeding rear 27 feet for future <br />street purposes (extension of Belle Avenue), 50 x 125 feet each and one "L" shaped lot <br />50 x 290 feet.. Recommendation approved on motion of Councilman Britschgi,seconded <br />by Councilman Janes and carried. Application of Guido Realty Company. <br />CITY CLERK DODGE WAS AUTHORIZED TO ACCEPT DEED TO THE ABOVE 27 feet from Umberto and Amelia <br />Filippuzzi on motion of C6unc.il'man Jones; seconded'by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />RESOLUTION No. 1295 RELEASING A PORTION OF PROPER'T'Y FROM CITY OPTION -IN STERLING HIGHLANDS <br />No. 4 was offered and moved for adoption by Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Council <br />woman Tinney and carried on roll call. Councilmen Royer and Spillers noted absent. <br />APPROVAL FINAL MAP, DUNN TRACT. This was placed on the agenda for the meeting of July 21st. <br />PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVELENTS, SIERRA STREET FROM REDWOOD AVENUE TO S'LY TERYtIINATION <br />AND ST. FRANCIS STREET FROI:I SILVER AVENUE TO CREEK. Letter was submitted by City <br />Engineer Jain stating that petition received July 3rd requested full improvements <br />including reinforced box culvert in Redwood Creek and other necessary storm drainage <br />structures. Signatures represent 60.53ro of assessable frontage. City owns 7.870 <br />of total frontage. It was recommended that the Engineer's office be authorized to <br />have plans and specification for this project, to establish an assessment district, <br />and that the City Auditor be authorized to advance funds from the general fund to be <br />reimbursed from the assessment district.
