CEDAR STREET - 60 FOOT PARCEL OF PROPERTY BEING A PORTION 'OF'BLOCK"63,'EASTERN ADDITION, <br />for street extension. Councilman Herkner reported for the committee that this was <br />apparently a City street as it so appeared on the City map and there were no taxes <br />} charged against the lot nor was any assessed value shown. The committee requested <br />two weeks additional time to check with County Tax Collector's records. <br />COMMITTEE REPORT REGARDING POSSIBILITY FOR LOCATION OF BOY SCOUT BUILDING - minutes June <br />30, 1952- Councilman Royer explained that the Chestnut Street area was to be <br />allowed to remain as is and suggested that possibly a tax delinquent lot could be <br />located which would become a good site for the Boy Scout Building. It was decided <br />that the City Collector would supply a list of tax delinquent lots to the Council <br />Recreation Committee for study and report back at the meeting of August 18th. �f <br />} <br />REPORT ON ABANDONMENT OF EASEMENT - REDWOOD TERRACE No. 4. The City Engineer reported <br />that this easement could be granted subject to letter from the Pacific Gas & <br />Electric Company releasing same. Motion by Councilman Spillers, seconded by Coun- <br />oilman Jones, approving -City Engineer's recommendation and after further discussion <br />it was decided that necessary resolution would be prepared after receiving a release <br />from the Pacific Gas & Electric Company. The matter was referred back to the City <br />Engineer for further handling on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Council- <br />woman Tinney and carried. <br />APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL COUNCIL COMMITTEE TO STUDY SITE FOR BOX SCOUT BUILDING REFERRED <br />TO ABOVE: Councilmen Royer, chairman, Jones, and Spillers. <br />CITY MANAGER ROLISON AND CITY ENGINEER JAINIS REPORT ON REQUEST FOR INCREASED WATER <br />SUPPLY AND' HYDRANT EAGLE HILL TERRACE. Study was made by the Water Department to <br />determine the cause of low water pressure at the two story residence of Mr. Frank <br />D'Antonio, 10 Eagle Hill Terrace. A letter was read from the City Manager recom- <br />mending installation of 300 ft. of W1 main at an estimated cost of $1350 which in- <br />cludes one fire hydrant was approved on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by <br />Councilman Britschgi. After discussion and it being decided that this installation <br />would improve the pressure in the Eagle Hill Terrace area, motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE PROHIBITING OBSTRUCTION IN STORM DRAINS <br />SIMILAR TO SAN CARLOS ORDINANCE. City Attorney Currie explained that the proposed <br />ordinance should differ from the San Carlos ordinance to the extent that our ordi- <br />nance should include a permit procedure covering any construction in the creeks and <br />drainage ditches. On motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Tinney the Mayor was requested to appoint a committee to work on a proposed ordinance <br />controlling this situation. Motion carried and the Mayor appointed the following: <br />City Attorney, Building Inspector and City Engineer, Councilmembers Spillers, <br />Jones and Tinney. <br />FIRE AND BUILDING DEPARTMENTS INSPECTIONS OF BUILDINGS LOCATED at 855 and 857 Main Street, <br />L. Grana, owner: Building Inspector had already posted the premises establishing <br />the date of hearing as August 18th. Letter from Attorney A. H. McGovern repre- <br />senting the owner, Louis Grana, was read by the Clerk requesting postponement of <br />hearing until later in the fall inasmuch as Air. Grana is at present in Europe. <br />Inasmuch as the Fire and Building Department were agreed upon holding this matter <br />over as long as the premises were unoccupied, Councilman Spillers moved that the <br />Pi` <br />u <br />w <br />
