Councilman Granger was in receipt of an
offer in a letter from the Palo Alto Mining Corporation of Campbell, California,
X ouncilman Granger was of the opinion that the Council should not act too hastily
and suggested that the matter might be referred back to the committee for further
consideration. There is a possibility that legal advice would be needed as well as
technical advice before reaching a final decision. Councilman Stout then moved Yy,
a
that this matter be left in the hands of the committee for further consideration,
seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. It has been determined that in most cases, vehicles
which are parked in the streets at night are moved during the day time and therefore
are not contributing to the hazard to children referred to by the City Council. The
traffic committee was surveying the residents on Claremont Avenue regarding estab-
lishment of a two-hour parking limit as recommended by the Council. The majority
of the residents were against establishment of time limit parking. The Committee is
still attempting to arrange a meeting with all parties concerned in an effort to find
some solution to the unfavorable parking conditions that exists in this street.
Councilman Jones moved acceptance of the Committee report, seconded by Councilman
Granger. Councilman Britschgi requested that the Committee continue their studies
and attempt to find the answer to this problem. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 1912 AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT, GAS TAX 14AJOR CITY
STREETS. Councilman Granger offered 'Resolution No. 1912 and moved adoption, seconded
by Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call.
REPORT ON BID OPENING, SALE OF LOTS 3 AND 4, BLOCK 1, HOMESTEAD ADDITION. The only bid
offered was that of Frank Giannini of 1311 Gordon St. who offered $500.00 for lots
3 and 4. Block 11 Homestead Addition, less 30 feet fronting on Redwood Avenue which
is to be retained for improvement of creek channel. The sale of these lots to
Mr. Giannini is also contingent upon a deed to the City of the front 30 feet of lots
Im
1 and 2, also for improving channel. Further condition is that there will be no
building allowed on lots 3 and 4. Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION NO. 1913 ¢
and moved adoption accepting the bid subject to the conditions as noted, seconded by
Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. 191L( TRANSFERRING 3,460.00, BALANCE OF COST OF SPECIAL CENSUS.
