CITY ATTORNEY REPORT REGARDING LICENSE FEES, NEW AND USED MERCHANDISE STORE (ORDINANCE 188). fCi.ty Attom ey Currie reported that there was.an.ordinance coverning new and used merchan- dise which was.adopted.in,1917....This ordinance (Ordinance 188 amending Ordinance 147, regulating and licensing the -business of Pawn Brokers, Junk Dealers and dealers in second hand wares, merchandise and commodities) requires an application for a permit and V if granted a permit .shall be issued to the applicant upon his -payment to the Tax Collec- tor the sum of fifty dollars as a license fee for said business. Ordinance 447 provides for one hundred dollars deposit for all new businesses.
