Councilman Britschgi <br />moved that this matter of a master plot plan for Stulsaft Park be referred to the <br />i <br />Park and Recreation Commission at their next meeting, seconded by Councilman Royerr <br />and carried. Mayor Herkner stated that each Councilman would have the privileged 6i <br />�k <br />of,nominating two members to the committee, the recommendations.to be brought in <br />next Monday. <br />1953-54 WEED ABATE14ENT CONTRACT WITH j'. THROCKMORTON, 1955-56 PRICES ON THREE YEAR BASIS. <br />Councilman Britschgi stated that this is a continuation of the Weed Abatement program., <br />He explained that two years ago a contract had been signed and the City took an y <br />option for the 3rd year. He stated that the Council should take up the option for <br />the third,year. Councilman Britschgi moved that the proper authorities be author- <br />ized to extend the contract, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, HIGHLANDS TERRITORY N0. 2 SEWER AND WATER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT <br />City Engineer Jain recommended the low bid of Oakland Sewer Construction Company j. <br />in the amount of $52,797.84 be accepted. This bid was 6 2/3% over the estimate. <br />City Attorney Currie stated that there was an unsigned letter attached to the bid <br />wherein Oakland Sewer Construction Company asked if they were the low bidder that <br />they be given an extension of time to complete the job. This was followed by <br />discussion after which Councilman Royer moved that the low bid be accepted, the <br />seconded b Councilman Granger and carried* <br />latter not to be part of the bid, eco y g <br />Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 1931 ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS HIGHLANDS TERRI- <br />TORY N0. 2 SEWER AND WATER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT and moved its adoption, seconded by <br />Councilman Stout and carried on roll call. I <br />Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 1933 AWARDING CONTRACT TO OAKLAND SEWER <br />CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE HIGHLANDS TERRITORY NO. 2 SEWER AND WATER ASSESSMENT <br />j <br />DISTRICT and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried on roll <br />call. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF RESUBDIVISION OF A PORTION OF LOT 21,BLOCK <br />16, OAK KNOLL MANOR INTO TWO LOTS SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS, (R. MAZZONI, 2956 HOPKINS <br />AVENUE). The condition were as follows: <br />1. Owner paying for sewer lateral. <br />2. Owner deeding a minumum of 10 feet for street widening. <br />The Clerk stated that the deed had been turned in. Councilman Spillers moved <br />approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation, seconded by Councilman Brit- <br />j <br />schgi, subject to checking of deed. Motion carried. Councilman Granger moved that <br />�! <br />the Clerk be authorized to accept the deed, subject to checking of the deed, second- <br />ed by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />r <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF W. PARSLEY TO RESUBDIVIDE <br />PORTION OF LOTS 10 2, 3 and 4, BLOCK 2, AMENDED MAP RESUB. OF LOT 46 , REESE <br />SUBDIVISION (1523 Redwood) SUBJECT TO 10' EASEMENT ON EACH NEW PROPERTY LINE <br />BORDERING CREEK FOR STORM DRAINAGE. Councilman Jones moved approval of the Planning <br />i, <br />d <br />Commissions recommendation, seconded by Councilman Granger. It was noted that the <br />i� <br />Engineering Department was not satisfied with the deed as presented.
