<br />REPORT OF THE CINNABAR .COMMITTEE BY-COUNCILMAN..GRAN.GER. Councilman Granger stated that a
<br />suplementary. me.e.ting. had been -held- last..week,.. I.t... was, the...feeling. of the Committee that
<br />the Oddstad _bi.d,...wherein. they, offered..11%...of-the_ gross...and. .50, of. the..net..plus a 4109000.00
<br />guarantee,, was- the..be.st. bid*. _ The,..C.ommittee recommended... that,.the-Council accept the bid
<br />sub.je.c.t. t.oL the terms of .agreement. to be -.prepared by.the .City. Attorney,.. - ,..Councilman Granger
<br />also ..stat.ed .that. all . checks. should b.e returned. to the makers.
<br />i Councilman Britschgi moved that they accept the recommendation of the Cinnabar Committee
<br />and accept the bid of A. F. Oddstad, Jr., and all other bids and money be returned to the
<br />unsuccessful bidders, seconded by Councilman Spillers. On the question there was a dis-
<br />cussion regarding the installation of mills.and plans for the Oddstad mill. Councilman

<br />Councilman.S.t.out moved -a vote of thanks. be, exte.nded...to.the. Committee for their work on
<br />behalf, of..the.Ci.ty,... seconded..by..Councilman...Jones.and..carried. Councilman Granger, Brit-
<br />schgi-and.E.pillers...were..the members on.the Cinnabar Committee.
<br />{ CITY CLERK REPORT. ON. C.ONCRETE.BENCHES.. The.. City. Clerk reported.that.he. was -in receipt of six
<br />offer.s..for-concrete. benches... Kiwanis._.Club..and -the... Business .and.. Professional Womens Club
<br />wish, to, select. the .lo.c.ation-fo.r_ the. benches.. -Councilman. Stout .stated.. that he was of the
<br />i opinion that ©lube wouldbe.gi.ven.a chance to pick out the location.

<br />Councilman Stout then moved that this matter be turned over to the City Manager to find

<br />out how soon this program can proceed so that the service clubs can be notified, seconded
<br />by Counc.ilman.Britschgi. City Manager Rolison stated that at one time this was turned
<br />over to the Planning Commission and he wanted to know if the Council still wanted this
<br />matter turned. over. to. them. Mayor Herkner. stated that he thought . this should be left up
<br />to the -City Manager. ..Motion.cb"ied..... A.repre.sentative of the Westwood Terrace Improve-
<br />ment .Club..r.eported.. that . they. had.. voted_ funds. for -two .benches_ whi.ch..b.rought the total to
<br />eight.
<br />REPORT BY BUILDING INSPECTOR ON FOSTER & KLEISER SIGN ON BAYSHORE HIGHWAY NEAR FIFTH AVENUE.
<br />In his. report Building Inspe.etor. Kreiss .reported. that. a use. Permit was .approved on May 24,
<br />19550- for -.the -relocation, of_ .the.exi.s.ting .signs. on.Bayshore Highway,. 1251 south of Vifth
<br />Avenue... Owing to.the.State Highway acquiring the lands wherethe existing signs were,
<br />it was necessary for Foster & Kleiser to make the above request. The application was
