S. Oddstad, President
By Elma D. Oddstad, Secretary
Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2234 DESIGNATING THE ATTORNEY FOR THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT AND FIXING
THE SUM OF 2 AS THE FEE CHARGED TO THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, Farm Hill Boulevard, and moved its adoption,
seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman Herkner being noted absent.
Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2235. DESIGNATING ENGINEER FOR PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND CONSTRUCTION STAKING, FARM HILL BOULEVARD, and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout and
carried on roll call, Councilman Herkner being noted absent.
John Gillanders, 797 Castle Hill Road,.addressed the Council and said he was representing approximately
275 people from the Farm Hills area. He referred to an article appearing in the newspaper stating that
they were represented at a study meeting. He wanted the records to show that they were not represented at
the study, meeting. They did not approve of the assessment district but they would go along with the
Council. However, they wanted to ask the Council to keep in mind and not allow rezoning to R-3 if Oddstad
Homes later find that single dwellings cannot support the assessment bonds. Councilman Spillers stated
that he lived only a few doors down from Mr. Gillanders and for information purposes Mr.. Gillanders did
not represent all the people in the area. From people he had talked to, Mr. Gillanders represented
approximately 50% of the people.in the area.
Councilman Weiss referred to the happenings of the study meeting held the previous week when a question
a
was asked as to where an individual was employeed.
