C. JONES, PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1, in the amount of $1,418.01 was ordered paid on motion <br />of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF AMENDING FARM HILLS SUBDIVISION NO. 2 TO ALLOW ELIMINATION OF <br />P <br />INTERSECTIONS CF GLENNON WAY WITH JEFFERSON AVENUE, AND CASTLE HILL ROAD WITH JEFFERSON AVENUE. More <br />detailed study indicates difficult grade problems which would result in traffic hazards. Councilman <br />Spillers moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendations, seconded by Councilman Royer. <br />Councilman Stout entered the meeting 11:55 and he wanted to know if the City Engineer approved this. <br />The City Engineer approves the recommendation. Motion carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF TENTATIVE MAP OF FARM HILLS NO. 3. The Planning Commission <br />recommended tentative approval of Farm Hills Subdivision No. 3 regarding relative street alignments, <br />subject to City Engineer's approval of grades between Farm Hills Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue, and <br />eliminating all lots along Jefferson Avenue. These lots will be considered separately at a study meeting <br />to explore possibility of forming an assessment district with lots across Jefferson Avenue for the <br />improving and widening of Jefferson Avenue. Councilman Spillers moved approval of the Planning Commiss— <br />ion's recommendation, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED THAT A STUDY BE MADE OF THE POSSIBILITY CF SETTING UP AN ACQUISITION FUND <br />TO ACQUIRE KEY LOTS FOR STREET EXTENSIONS. Councilman Spillers moved that this be referred t o t he City <br />Manager to report back in three weeks, seconded by Councilman Royer. Councilman Granger stated that <br />some time ago the Council wanted to put money in the budget so they would have the money available <br />to pay for the streets. Motion carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REC MilENDED THAT A STUDY BE MADE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SETTING UP AN ACQUISITION FUND TO <br />ACQUIRE KEY LOTS FOR STREET EXTENSIONS. Councilman Spillers moved that this be referred to the City <br />Manager to report back in three weeks, seconded by Councilman Royer. Motion carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOIMENDED THAT A LETTER BE WRITTEN CLARIFYING THE POSITION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />REGARDING PLAN LINES FCR SERVICE ROAD PARALLELING WOODSIDE ROAD BETWEEN VIRGINIA AVENUE AND KENTFIELD <br />AVENUE. The Planning Commission feels that the service road is essential for residential districts as <br />well as commercial districts. There was no council action and the Clerk was asked to make this a part <br />of the minutes. <br />BIRGE CLARK LETTER REGARDING JAMES HUTZLER REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME ON VETERANS MEMORIAL BUILDING. The <br />Clerk read the letter wherein Mr. Clark stated his reasons why he thought the extension of time should <br />be granted. Councilman Granger stated that the request was in order and so he moved approval of the <br />D <br />
