78 Y✓,t <br />Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, ADOPT ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONE NO. 2 IN WELLESLEY PARK AREA. Affidavit of publication <br />was ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Spillers moved close of public <br />hearing, seconded.by Councilman Britschgi and carried. Councilman Spillers offered ORDINANCE 817 <br />ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONE #2 IN WELLESLEY PARK AREA and boved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi <br />and carried on roll call, Councilman Jones being noted absent. <br />ADOPT ORDINANCE CALLING SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION. Councilman Spillers offered ORDINANCE 818 CALLING <br />SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION and moved its adoptions seconded -by Councilman Britschgi and carried on <br />roll calls Councilman Jones being noted absent. «•' <br />LUTION REGARDING CHARTER AMENDMENT ON APRIL BALLOT, Councilman Britschgi offered RESOLUTION 1981 ordering <br />and calling a municipal election, ordering the 'submission of amendment to the charter and for the purpose <br />of electing four members to the City Council and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Royer and <br />carried on roll call, Councilman Jones being noted absent. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES AND PRECINCT BOARDS. Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 1982 <br />DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES AND PRECINCT BOARDS.FOR THE APRIL 10th ELECTION and moved its adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call, Councilman Jones being noted absent. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT REGARDING FOX SHOPPE PROPERTY. The City Attorney reported that nothing has been done except <br />that an appraisal has been made. Councilman Royer moved that the City Attorney contact the property <br />owners, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. Councilman Granger stated that the City Attorney should tell them <br />that the plan lines are set and he, Councilman Granger, was of the opinion that the City -should do domething <br />about it and tell the owners just what the City is planning to.do in regard to the property. If the funds <br />are available, then the City should purchase the property. .This was followed.by.discussion regarding the <br />three phase signals which might be installed at the -El Camino Real—Whipple Avenue intersection. Motion <br />carried. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ON PROPOSED <br />BUILDING. The City Attorney reported that if it is the.Councilts <br />wish to proceed they should <br />take the necessary <br />steps to have plans <br />and specs prepared and bids should be <br />called for. After this has <br />been done the City <br />should call for bids <br />for a lease on the building for a <br />designated titpe. The Council should authorize the City Manager to proceed with the plans and specs. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that this matter be referred to the City Manager, seconded by Councilman Royer. <br />Mayor Herkner stated.that he would appoint a committee to decide the extent of property to be used for this <br />propject. The City Manager was of the opinion that the City Attorney should bring in an agreement so they <br />might proceed with the work, subject to approval of the City Council. This was followed by discussion. <br />Councilman Royer spoke in regard to the time of the lease and suggested the lease run from September 15th <br />to the end of December. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Herkner appointed City Manager Robson, City Attorney Currie, City Engineer Jain, City Recreation <br />Dikector Morton and Alyn Beals as an interested citizen to bring in recommendations as to the amount of <br />property needed for this project and building. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON DEVELOPMENT OF STULSAFT PARK. The Clerk read the following report: <br />This is to advise that, as authorized by the City Council at a regular adjourned meeting <br />held on February 14, 19561 the City Engineer has negotiated with a local firm of engineers <br />to perform the following services related to the development of Stulsaft Park: <br />1. Reestablish the boundaries of the Park. <br />2. Prepare.a topographic map to a scale of.1" 501.. The contour interval would <br />be 51 with accuracy to 1/2 of a contour interval. This map would be prepared by a <br />combine of gDound survey and photogramme try. Isolated trees and outlines of <br />tree masses would be shown. <br />3. After conference with your Recreation Commission, the various areas would <br />be detailed for their respective uses. , <br />4. All access roads, parking areas and trails would be located in plan, and <br />specifications for their improvement would be outlined. <br />P—. <br />
