Councilman <br />Granger moved that the City Engineer make a report in regard to the item referring <br />to Harding Avenue improvements and asked that the matter be placed on the agenda <br />for one week, July 15th, seconded by Councilman Stout, The Mayor announced that <br />the Clerk had been instructed to check to see if there was ever any petition <br />filed for street improvements. This was followed by discussion after which the <br />motion carried. <br />Councilman Herkner spoke about the article in the paper with regard to Emerald Lake <br />water account. Councilman Herkner moved that the City Manager supply a,report in <br />regard to the Emerald Lake water account, money on hand as of June 30, 1957, and <br />any other pertinent facts and make his report within two weeks, July 22nd, seconded <br />by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />Councilman Stout moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Herkner and <br />carried. Dodge, C ty Clerk <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />July 152 1957, 8:00 P.M. <br />Invocation was lead by Rev:rend Kenneth Senft, Messiah Lutheran Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. <br />Herkner, Robert V. Spillers, Hiram S. Stout, Louis Weiss, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William <br />H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, <br />City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Water Superintendent <br />H. L. Winter, Assistant Fire Chief Willis Leslie, Assistant to the City Manager L. A. <br />Kimball, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Assistant Water Superintendent Warren <br />Mitchell, Police Chief William Faulstich, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Planning <br />Commissioner MacDonald and Senior Stenographer Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: July 1st and July 8th. Councilman Weiss reported that there was <br />an error in the minutes of July 1, 1957, on page b. In connection with Water Super- <br />intendent Winter's statement as reported, he asked that the minutes be corrected to <br />reflect the import thereof and should be corrected to include what he actually stated <br />in response to questions asked, that is "that the water service at this property is a <br />live service from previous owner and therefore it will be continued but cannot be <br />expanded beyond what it was originally limited to - that is a single family residential <br />requirement." Councilman Weiss moved that the minutes of July lst and July 8th be <br />approved subject to,the correction noted above, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and <br />carried. <br />Recreation Commissioner Bill Hanley stated that they were going to have the dedication of <br />the Marine Harbor ramp on July 28th at 12:00 noon at the Yacht Harbor and he extended <br />an invitation to the members of the Council to attend the dedication ceremony. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF EICHORN TERRITORY. The City <br />Attorney reported that the Eichorn people have objected orally to the annexation and <br />stated that they did not want t6 proceed. The City Attorney recommended that they <br />adopt,a resolution to deny the annexation. This was followed by discussion in regard <br />to.why they should adopt a resolution to deny the annexation.
