<br />Claims 22996 through 23041, totaling $81,635.61, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman
<br />Weymouth and seconded by Councilman Spillers. There was no water refunds and all
<br />the funds had been appropriated. The motion carried.
<br />Mr. M3-1sap addressed the Council in regard to the traffic problem facing the residents on
<br />Jefferson Avenue.

<br />CITY ENGINEER REPORT REGARDING STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT IN OAK KNOLL AND EMERALD LAKE AREA,.
<br />� The City Engineer, in his report, stated that it was his understanding that whenever
<br />areas within this district are annexed to the City, such areas are removed from the
<br />lighting district, so that the owners within the City would not be paying taxes on
<br />both the lighting district and to the City for street lighting purposes. It is his
<br />opinion that this matter should be referred to the City Attorney for a solution to
<br />this problem. Councilman Stott moved to accept the recommendation of the City Enginee
<br />and referred the matter to the City Attorney, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried
<br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON EMERALD LAKE WATER. The Clerk read the fb llowing report submitted
<br />bW the City Manager and also the supplemental report of the Water Superintendent.
<br />At a regular adjourned meeting of the City Council held on July 8, 1957s this office
<br />was requested to submit a statement covering pertinent financial data concerning the
<br />operation of the Emerald Lake water system. Also, the proposed disposition of the
<br />accumulated suprlus on hand as of June 30, 1956 (the last annual audit).
