Councilman Weiss moved that this matter be taken off the agenda until such time as the City Engineer is ready to make a report, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. Coun- cilman Herkner stated that he was a little afraid of this. The levee was,built to specifications of the City and Leslie Salt Company and he thought that this should be added on in one week. The motion was charged to carry this on the agenda for two weeks and carried. TRAFFIC COMMITTEE REC STOP SIGN ON SERVICE ROAD AT WOODSIDE ROAD AND MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE. Councilman Granger moved to refer this to the City Attorney to prepare the necessary resolution, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF E. E. DAVIS FOR VARIANCE TO 5 EXTEND C -1-H OVER REST OF PORTION LOT 39, BLOCK I, WOODSIDE ACRES NO. 1, TO .EXTEND 35 FEET (1614 Hudson Street). Councilman Spillers moved to approve the Planning Commission recommendation and referred this to the City Attorney to prepare the necessary resolution, seconded by Councilman Granger. This was followed by discussion after which the motion carried with Councilman Weiss voting NO. The Mayor asked that this be stricken from the motion because this is being considered by the Traffic Committee. The original motion carried. Councilman Granger asked what happened to the tree survey. The City Manager stated that the Park Superintendent has made a survey and it is in the hands of the City Engineer waiting for them to draw up the necessary map. Mr. Quinn asked that the Traffic Committee consider Jefferson Avenue and James Avenue as one way streets.
