e <br />w <br />C <br />C)7 <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />October 10, 1960, 8:00 P.M. <br />Invocation Eras led by Reverend Ralph York, Woodside Road Community Methodist Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Sidney D. Herkner,.John S. <br />Rosselli, William H. Royer, Harold Co Stehle, Mayor Ray A. Weymouth and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. <br />Councilmen Floyd D. Granger was noted absent. Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney <br />Robert J. Costello, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Assistant to the City Manager Bert Balmer, Water Superinten- <br />dent H. L. Winter, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Police Chief William Faulstich, City Engineer Glenn <br />M. Jain, Building Inspector Be H. Kreiss, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel and Deputy City <br />Clerk Vivian Rifbjerg. <br />Councilman Fields moved approval of the minutes of October 3, 1960, as mailed, seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING, EDGWOOD ANNEXATION'l-C. The public hearing was declared open. There <br />being no objections, written or oral, Councilman Royer moved to continue the public hearing to October <br />31st, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON.RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION MARSHALL STREET IMPROVEMENT DIST- <br />RICT, JEFFERSON AVENUE TO MAIN STREET. The public hearing was declared open. There being no protests, <br />written or oral, Councilman Royer moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3217 BEING THE RESOLUTION OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE <br />AND NECESSITY MARSHALL STREET IMPROVEMENTS .(JEFFERSON AVENUE TO MAIN STREET), seconded by Councilman <br />Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Granger being.noted absent. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3218 APPROVING PLANS, PRCFILESS DETAILED DRAWINGS <br />AND SPECIFICATIONS MARSHALL STREET IMPROVEMENTS (JEFFERSON AVENUE TO MAIN STREET), seconded by Council- <br />man Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3219 BEING THE RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT <br />CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS MARSHALL STREET IMPROVEMENTS (JEFFERSON AVENUE TO MAIN STREET), seconded by <br />Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3220 FIXING MINIMUM WAGE SCALE MARSHALL STREET IMPRO <br />MENTS (JEFFERSON AVENUE TO MAIN STREET), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on roll <br />call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO MAKE CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS WITHIN PARKING DISTRICT NO, 1. <br />This hearing is for the purpose of establishing a proceeding to permit payment from Parking District <br />No. I funds, for their portion of the Marshall Street Improvements fronting on Parking Lot VI. The <br />public hearing was declared open and the affidavit of publication ordered filed. There being no pro- <br />tests, written or oral, Councilman Rosselli moved that the public hearing be closed and protests over- <br />ruled, seconded by Councilman -Royer and carried. <br />Councilman Royer mmved adoption of <br />N0. 3222 CRDERING CHANCES AND MODIFICATIONS PARKING DIST- <br />RIOT NO. I (MARSHALL STREET. IMPROVEMENTS), seconded by Councilman Steh3c and carried unanimously on <br />roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON PUBLIC UTILITIES EASEMENT OVER LOT 139 BLOCK 18, FARM <br />HILL NO. 2 (George Dragan). The utility Companies report they no longer need the property and consent <br />to the abandonment. The Engineering Department has no objections to the abandonmentp airf&rreports that <br />there is no present or future need for this easement. The public hearing was declared open and the <br />affidavit of publication and affidavit of posting were ordered filed. There being no protests, written <br />
