Councilman Royer mentioned for the record that this money was for possible <br />acceptance of some of the alternates on the readvertising. The motion carried unanimously on roll call, Coun— <br />cilman Fields being noted absent. <br />DIVISION OF HIGHNAYS REQUESTS CANCELLATION CF TRACES as required under Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation <br />Code on two parcels acquired for Highway purposes. The Traffice Bureau <br />and the Planning Staff recommend against the granting of this variance. Councilman Granger raised the question ,. <br />as to why this matter was held up so long. The City Engineer briefed the Council on the history of the remodel— <br />ing of this station. Police Chief Faulstich reported that there was a safety hazard involved here.
