<br />Adoption of an ordinance of the City of Redwood City, California, regulating the installation, erection, moving

<br />altering, replacing, improving, suspension, and/or maintenance of all signs and advertising structures;
<br />providing for issuance of permits and the fixing of fees therefor; providing a penalty for the violation
<br />e
<br />thereof, and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance.
<br />Councilman Herkner moved that adoption of the Sign Ordinance be continued to August 15, 1960, seconded by
<br />Councilman Stehle and carried.

<br />ion of the width of pavement for the proposed street was discussed briefly. The Ordinance was adopted on
<br />roll call vote, Councilmen Granger, Herkner, Stehle and Mayor Weymouth voting Yes; Councilman Fields voting
<br />No; Councilman Royer abstaining due to his absence from the public hearing on the introduction of the Ord-
<br />inance; Councilman Rosselli being noted absent.

<br />TION" AND HEREIN DESCRIBED, AND HEREIN ANNEXING SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF REDVPOOD CITY, seconded by
<br />Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call vote, Councilmen Fields, Granger, Herkner, Stehle and Mayor
<br />Weymouth voting yes; Councilman Royer abstaining due to his absence from the public hearing on the intro-
<br />ddction of the ordinance, and Councilman Rosselli being noted absent.

<br />R -3-G DISTRICT (Bresso Annexation), seconded by Councilman Stehle and carriedimnanimouslp on roll call,,

<br />Item 12, Collection of delinquent Personal Property Taxes, was deleted from agenda.
<br />RESOLUTION N0. 3163, A RESOLUTION OF POLICY CONCERNING THE EXPENSES OF VACATING OR
<br />PUBLIC UTILITY
<br />EASEMENTS, was offered by Councilman Fields, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on
<br />roll. call, Councilman Rosselli being noted absent.
<br />REQUEST OF E. T. HAAS FOR 30 DAY EXTENSION OF TIME, BAYSHCRE INDUSTRIAL PARK NO. 1, The City Clerk wascin re-
<br />ceipt of letters from E. T. Haas requesting the extension, and from the Seaboard Surety Company, their bond-
<br />ing Company, agreeing to an extension up to 60 days.
<br />Councilman Granger moved to grant the 30 day extension requested, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried.

<br />REQUEST OF THE SAN MATEO COUNTY ENGINEER THAT,REDWOOD CITY WAIVE JURISDICTION AND PERMIT COUNTY BOARD OF SUPER-
<br />VISORS TO SPONSOR THE MIDDLEFIEID ROAD PROJECT between Charter Street and S. P. Railroad Tracks. The City
<br />Engineer reported that he had been assured by the County Engineer. that Redwood City would be under no fin-
<br />ancial obligation to share the preliminary costs of engineering, etc., if the project were to be abandoned
<br />due to protests of the property owners.
<br />Councilman Granger moved to authorize the City Manager to take steps to have the neeessary documents pre-
<br />pared for presentation to the Council., whereby the Council agrees to waive jurisdiction and permit the County
<br />Board of Supervisors to sponsor the Middlefield Road Improvement Project, between Charter Street and S. P.
<br />Railroad Tracks, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #60-179)

<br />Avenue, San Mateo County, Councilman Royer moved that the permit be granted subject to,a provision that
