Councilman Granger brought up the matter of the $2,060 appropriation for Union Cemetery and expressed an opinion <br />that the full sum should be expended annually. He suggested the possibility of planting a new hedge so it <br />will be ready by the time the riew overpass is completed. <br />Councilman Granger brought up the matter and asked for serious consideration as to'how the Council wants the rev. <br />enue from sales tax set up. As tliis topic was under general discussion and no Council action would be taken, <br />each Councilman expressed his opinion as to haw they thought the sales tax monies should be divided. <br />Councilman Rosselli raised the question of better lighting on Woodside Road. Councilman Granger moved that some. <br />one contact the PG&E and ask for a lighting plan for Woodside Road between Alameda de las Pulgas and El <br />Camino Real (MINUTE ORDER #60-255)9 seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved that the meeting be adjourned to 8:d0 P. M. on November 29th at the Veterans Memorial <br />Building, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Meeting adjourned, 10x05 p. m. <br />Helen C. Moore, City Clerk. <br />Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />November 29a 19603 8:00 P.M. ' <br />Veterans Memorial Building <br />Present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney b. Herkner, John S. Rosselli, William H. Royer, Harold C. Stehle, <br />Mayor Ray A. Weymouth and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. Also present were Planning Commissioners Mitchell <br />Webber, James MacDonald, Vincent Rambo, G. L. Bedbury, Merritt Snyder, Harold Hjertberg, Robert Youmans City <br />Manager Neal, City Attorney Costello, Planning Director Wilkinson, Police Chief Faulstich and Assistant <br />Planning Director Leonard Knittel. <br />Progress report on the new Zoning Ordinance was presented by Planning Director Wilkinson who submitted a chart <br />on the propoaed changes in residential districts to each member of the Council for study. The following <br />i.ta..s were discussed in detail: (1) Zoning map, (2) Land Use tabulation; (3) Origin and Destination <br />study (4) Bay frontage development: The Planning Director stated that no work had been done on the pop- <br />ulation and econonic base study, due to press of other work, and requested permission to hire two additional <br />employees for a period of six months in order to complete the General Plan and Zoning Map, at a cost of <br />$6,840. Councilman Fields appeared at 9:16 p. m. <br />Classifications requested are Economist Planner and Planning Draftsman. The Planning Commission concurred <br />in this request, and after further discussion the item was ordered placed on the agenda for the Council <br />meeting of December 5th. <br />The processing of appeals from Planning Commission rulings was discussed, with a Board of Appeals suggested to <br />relieve the Council of hearings on appeals which did not require their legislative action.
