Powers & Associates, Inc. prepared the EIR for the 10-year Master Plan for O'Connor <br /> ~ Hospital, located on an approximately 18-acre site in northwest San Jose. The Master Plan proposed <br /> expansion of the existing hospital to include a new medical office building and parking stxucture, an <br /> addition to an existing hospital building, demolition of an existing office building, and reconfiguration <br /> ~ of the parking and circulation on the site. The project was very controversial because of a number of <br /> concerns expressed by neighboring residents opposed to the hospital's location. Powers & Associates, Inc. prepared the EIR for the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center on a <br /> ~ 30-acre site in the City of Emerwille. The project included a hospital and medical office buildings, <br /> general retail and office uses, a central utility plant and three parking structures. The project required <br /> demolition of existing commercial, industrial, and residential uses. The new facility included a <br /> ~ bed hospital, medical office buildings for providers, a square foot central utility plant and <br /> parking structures with parking spaces. Retail, office and other pedestrian-oriented uses were <br /> proposed on the perimeter of the site to provide an interface with the surrounding neighborhood.
