Utilities and Storm Drain Facilities INS PEe TOR S <br />Utilities and storm drains will be staked at 50 foot intervals, ends of pipes, and at appurtenances. Drop inlet runs <br />shall be staked at 25 foot intervals. Drop inlets shall be staked with two 5 foot offset stakes parallel to curb, <br />showing offset to face of curbline. <br /> <br />e. Waterlines and Appurtenances <br />Waterlines will be staked at 50 foot intervals, at grade breaks, and at appurtenances (valves, crosses, ends, etc.) <br /> <br />f. <br /> <br />Fences <br />Fences shall be staked at 50 foot intervals and at changes in direction. One stake showing offset to fence shall be <br />provided. <br /> <br />g. Retaining Walls, Bridge Abutments and Bents <br />One set of stakes will be provided for bridge construction as follows: three stakes will be provided at each <br />abutment, pier or bent. One stake will be provided at the intersection of the control line and abutmentlbent/pier <br />centerlines. The other two stakes will be placed on the centerline of the abutment/pierlbent, one either side of the <br />structure, offset as requested by the Contractor. <br /> <br />Approach slabs will be established at limits of slabs, with one set of stakes to offset requested by the Bridge <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />The consultant shall provide all required staking to all elements shown on the plans including retaining walls, etc. <br />and the structure to the grades and tolerances required by the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. <br /> <br />h. Other Staking <br />Other improvements such as permanent delineation, signs, lighting, signals, traffic detector loops, etc. will be <br />staked by the surveyor if requested. <br /> <br />4. EXCLUDED ITEMS <br />Construction staking related items specifically excluded from the scope of services are as follows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Setting permanent monumentation such as for right-of-way, roadway center-line or property corners. <br />Preparation of legal descriptions or the filing of corner records or Records-of-Survey. <br />Preparation of or modification to Caltrans Right-of-Way Documents including Hard Copy Maps and Right-of- <br />Way Record Maps <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />It is recognized that construction is on-going and that construction staking has been performed by another firm. <br />Therefore, not all items listed above may require staking. <br /> <br />This scope of services and the liability associated with providing construction staking services only applies to work <br />performed by Chaudhary & Associates.
