WWW-CHAUDHARY COM <br /> <br />November 11,2004 <br />#04-09-062 <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Construction Staking Services for <br />Route 101 / Ralston Interchange <br /> <br />It is anticipated that construction staking will be required for the items listed below. All construction staking services will <br />be performed in conformance with Section II of the Caltrans Survey Manual. <br /> <br />1. CONSTRUCTION CONTROL <br />Existing survey control points shall be checked for horizontal and vertical accuracy using the primary control network <br />established for the project. Additional survey control points shall be set sufficient to construct the work. Additional <br />control points shall be referenced in accordance with the Caltrans Survey Manual. <br /> <br />2. RESPONSE / COORIDINATION <br />The Surveyor shall coordinate with the Resident Engineer and the City of Redwood City. The Surveyor shall also <br />cooperate with the construction contractor; however, survey requests must be transmitted through the Resident <br />Engineer to the Consultant's Project Manager. <br /> <br />Construction staking shall be performed no later than two working days after the staking request is received by the <br />Consultant's Project Manager. The surveyor shall make reasonable efforts to organize work to meet the Contractor's <br />operations schedule. <br /> <br />For each construction staking request, the Consultant will provide office support in the form of calculations and <br />preparation of staking files. <br /> <br />The office support work will also include crew scheduling and record keeping including maintaining a record of <br />written staking requests and document survey turnaround times. <br /> <br />3. CONSTRUCTION STAKING <br />The Surveyor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials (including stakes, hubs, flagging, nails, paint) for <br />the establishment of one set of construction stakes as required by the constructÍon contract, including but not limited <br />to the following: <br /> <br />a. Limits of Clearing and Grubbing <br />Limits of clearing and grubbing will be flagged at 100 foot intervals. <br /> <br />b. Rough Grading/Slope Stakes <br />Slope stakes will be placed at 100 foot intervals; rough grade will be staked at all grade breaks and at 50 feet <br />intervals. Slope stakes to be provided for roadway as well as for temporary detours. <br /> <br />c. Finished Grading <br />Finished grading stakes for curb and gutter and edge of pavement will be placed at all grade breaks, at 50 foot <br />intervals on straight sections, and at 25 foot intervals on curved sections, and at beginning and end of curves. <br /> <br />C i_' ¡ L D ¡ c,. <br /> <br />'- CO". -"" -, ê" II """"" '" ---'-'-""'--'-M'.' <br />
