for <br /> <br /> SHOPPING CART RETRIEVAL SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ day of ~, 2000, <br />by and between SCOTT JUNIOR SHOPPING CART SERVICE ("Contractor"), and the <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of California ("City"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article VIII (commencing with §14.115) <br />of Chapter 14 of the Code of the City of Redwood City (the "Ordinance"), City provides <br />for the abatement of abandoned shopping carts; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor is in the business of shopping cart and laundry cart <br />retrieval; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, owners of businesses in the City of Redwood City which use <br />shopping carts may elect to participate in City's Shopping Cart Retrieval Program <br />(hereinafter defined); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Shopping Cart Retrieval Program requires shopping cart <br />retrieval services as provided by Contractor; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor hereby agrees to provide such retrieval services for and <br />on behalf of City for the benefit, and at the cost, of said owners, subject to the terms and <br />conditions hereof; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />Agmt-321 <br />DES:rg <br />F/shared/shared/Redwood/Council <br />02/07/00; 03/06/00 <br /> <br /> <br />
