ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />a. Beryl Darnell, 3907 Lakemead Way, Chairman of the Senior Affairs Coommissi on, <br />described a survey of seniors to be undertaken by mail commencing March 18, <br />1988, stating that funds for the survey were provided by seniors who also <br />prepared the questions relating to senior services. Mr. Darnell distributed <br />the mailer to Council members. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />5. Report and recommendation re proposed one -half cent <br />transportation tax ballot measure (704 -05) <br />Report: Community Development Director 3/7/88 <br />Councilman Britschgi, Council representative to the Countywide Transportation <br />Committee, presented highlights of the Committee report and urged approval of <br />the Plan developed by the Committee. <br />M /S: Britschgi /Chandler to approve the Countywide Transportation Committee <br />Expanditure Plan for the proposed one -half cent sales tax measure to be <br />placed on the June 7, 1988 statewide Election Ballot by the San Mateo County <br />Board of Supervisors. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 88 -31 <br />M /S: Greenalch /Chandler that staff prepare a resolution commending the 23 <br />members of the Countywide Transportation Committee for their work and calling <br />attention particularly to how pleased Council is with the efforts of <br />Councilman Britschgi on the Committee. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote.
