Wagstaff and Associates will provide Illingworth & Rodkin with
r specific descriptions of six alternatives to the proposed project. Illingworth & Rodkin will
r complete a comparative evaluation of four of the project alternatives, with narrative briefly
r describing how each alternative would affect each of the various identified significant impact
r findings. In addition, Illingworth & Rodkin will complete a more detailed impact and mitigation
r comparison for the remaining two more detailed alternatives, with identification of specific
r changes in impact and/or mitigation findings and/or any additional impacts or mitigations.

K. Cultural and Historic Resources (Ho/man & Associates)

The project site is located in an urbanized area in a Bay shoreline and creekside zone of
moderate to high sensitivity for cultural resources. The project, which would involve shoreline
excavation and filling, has the potential to affect and historic cultural resources. Holman &
Associates will complete the following tasks to address this project aspect:

1. Settinq. Holman & Associates will describe potential cultural and historical resources
within the project area, based on contact with the State Archaeological Resources Inventory
and on field survey.

2. Impacts. Potential for .project disturbance of any identified on-site or nearby historical,.
Native American, or other archaeological values will be evaluated and documented, and the
relative impact significance described.

3. Miti.qation. Measures warranted to mitigate identified archaeological impacts will be
recommended (e.g., avoidance, monitoring of grading activities, excavation, further evaluation,
recording).

L Air Quality (Donald Ballanti)

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) has established stringent
thresholds of significance for regional air quality impacts. The BAAQMD considers projects
that generate more than 80 pounds per day of ozone precursors or PM-10 (combining
stationary and mobile sources) to be significant. The air quality analysis for the project will
use these significance thresholds to determine the project's air quality impacts and any
warranted mitigations.

1. Settin.q. Donald Ballanti will complete the following setting tasks:
· A description of the climate and meteorology of the project area, historical air quality
data, and current efforts to attain and maintain the state and federal air quality standards
will be prepared; and

· An identification of any sensitive receptors near the project site, including senior facilities,
health care facilities, schools, and residences, will be documented.

WP511622tMISC~O013-2.
