MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />7. Strategic Planning Report (continued from 2/9/87) <br />Councilman Greenalch presented his report of February 20, 1987 <br />M /S: Britschgi /LaBerge to accept Councilman Greenalch's report of February <br />20, 1987, regarding Strategic Planning and to dedicate one regular Council <br />meeting per month to a strategic planning session. <br />Carried by majority voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 87 -40 <br />8. Criminal Justice Council - First Evaluation Report <br />County -Wide Narcotics Task Force <br />Councilman Greenalch called attention to the subject report. <br />In response to question, Police Chief Guardino said that the Task Force <br />program is valuable to the City and suggested its work has been more <br />beneficial to the City than was the previous vice unit. <br />Kathie Jackson, Executive Director, Original Justice Council, 666 Elm Street, <br />San Carlos reported on the success of the Task Force program. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />BOARD, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Edgewood Road -- Councilman Britschgi reported that at a meeting held today <br />with representatives of the City and County it was learned that there is no <br />support for widening Edgewood Road, but that the County will take steps to <br />improve safety on the road, noting that an EIR is required to do so. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />CITY MANAGER REPORTS <br />9.
