RESOLUTION NO. 10425 REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR WEED ABATEMENT BY SPRAYING <br />AND DISKING; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />(Council recessed from 9:26 to 9:35 p.m.) <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />a. Albert Franklin, 500 Warrington, referred to his communication to Council <br />noting that the book mentioned on page 3 of his letter should be preserved. <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Claire determined it to be the consensus of Council to <br />refer Mr. Franklin's communication to the Library staff for review with City <br />staff to contact Mr. Franklin on the matter. <br />MEMO 2/24/87 <br />b. Fern Loqie, 4 Friendly Court, said she understands improvements are planned <br />for the drainage system in her neighborhood and inquired about proposed <br />assessments. Mrs. Logie said drainage on her property is satisfactory, but <br />she is willing to contribute to improvements, although not in the amount of <br />some $4,000 which she has heard will be the assessment. It was explained <br />that it is premature at this time to discuss any details of an assessment <br />district as various financing alternatives are still being explored. <br />c. LuAnn Rocklewitz, 3142 Hoover, inquired about the status of various aspects <br />of proposed improvements to relieve flooding, and asked about a survey on a <br />possible bond issue and plans for the Bayfront Canal. <br />Director of Public Works Addiego said that the City Council has authorized <br />funds for design of the Bayfront Canal and the design is being undertaken. <br />In response to question, Mr. Smith said that the professional survey of <br />residents authorized by Council is under way. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />2/23/87 <br />Page 5 <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 47 <br />Page No. 51 <br />
