M /S: Greenalch /Britschgi <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10468 DESIGNATING APRIL, 1987 AS FAIR HOUSING MONTH <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />6.1 Councilman Bury thanked Planning Commissioner Pappas for representing the <br />City at the General Assembly of ABAG (Association of Bay Area Governments), <br />noting that material he obtained at the meeting is available in the Council <br />st ud y. <br />6.2 Councilman Bury requested Mayor Claire to write on behalf of the City Council <br />to Kaiser Permanente Hospital, the Red Cross, Sequoia Hospital and Mercy <br />Convent in Burlingame for their generous assistance in connection with the <br />unfortunate fire at Casa de Redwood last week. Mayor Claire said he has <br />written some of those who offered asiistance and will write to the others <br />this week. MEMO 4/7/87 <br />6.3 Councilman Britschgi referred to a letter from ABAG relating to water <br />conservation. City Manager Smith said that staff is discussing it and making <br />recommendations for a city water conservation program with details to be <br />announced soon. <br />6.4 Councilman Britschgi reported that he understands that the Circle Star <br />Theatre in San Carlos may become a retail establishment and noted the traffic <br />implications are considerable. <br />6.5 Councilwoman LaBerge reported that the Friends of Hoover Boys and Girls Club <br />are now working on raising funds for the needed endowment, and the tentative <br />groundbreaking is set for June 20, 1987. <br />Reg.Mtg.
