Appointment to Park and Recreation Commission - <br />unexpired term expiring 4/30/89 (interview session held <br />3/23/87) 302 -04 <br />M /S: Britschgi /Stangel to postpone making the subject appointment until all <br />of the applications are received from candidates for the two full terms on <br />the Park and Recreation Commission which are presently being advertised, with <br />all appointments to be made at the same time. <br />The motion failed on the following roll call vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmen Britschgi, Stangel and Mayor Claire <br />Noes: Councilmen Bury, Greenalch, Laberge and Vice Mayor Chandler <br />Mayor Claire then asked Council members to vote on the subject appointment. <br />BALLOT NO. 1. <br />Diane Luis Oliver Thomas <br />Howard Policarpo Redington Riise <br />Britschgi 1 <br />Bury 1 <br />Chandler 1 <br />Greenalch 1 <br />LaBerge 1 <br />Stangel 1 <br />Mayor Claire 1 <br />TOTAL 4 0 3 0 <br />Diane Howard having received four votes, Mayor Claire declared Ms. Howard <br />appointed to the unexpired term on the Park and Recreation Commission <br />expired April 30, 1989. <br />MEMO 4/7/87 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />4. Proposed establishment of San Mateo Countywide <br />Transportation Advisory Committee (1202) <br />Mayor Claire, Chairman of the Council of Mayors, noted that the group will be <br />voting on April 16, 1987, in a special meeting called for that purpose on: <br />1) Establishment of the San Mateo Countywide Transportation Advisory <br />Committee which is "to diligently attempt" to place before the voters a <br />proposed one -half cent sales tax for the purpose of funding traffic and <br />transportation improvements; and 2) Appointment of four city representatives <br />to the Committee.
