Matters of Council Interest (continued) <br />2) Councilwoman La Berge gave a report regarding the Citywide Beautification <br />Program stating that the program was approved by the City Council February <br />25, 1987 and that there is a great deal of interest from citizen groups <br />within the Community. Councilman Bury and Councilwoman La Berge met with the <br />City staff to establish dates for work projects involving youth, business, <br />philanthropic and citizen groups. In the next several months some of the <br />projects planned include a cleanup of Union Cemetary, a cleanup day at the <br />port, a cleanup sweep of El Camino and a BFI pickup next week. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />BOARD, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />1.
