CITY MANAGER REPORTS <br />2. Fair Oaks Community Center - Addition for Senior <br />Services Programs (1301 -02) <br />Report: Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director 4/7/87 <br />Director Griffiths outlined the results and recommendations of the Council <br />approved study that was done by Community Design Collaborative for the <br />Addition for Senior Programs to the Fair Oaks Community Center and the <br />appraisal of 2553 -55 Middlefield Road by C. Warren Fox (March 20, 1987.) <br />Carolyn Nobles, 3720 Country Club, Chairperson of the TEWCI Board spoke <br />in support of the subject proposal. Nita Di Masi, Chairperson, Fair Oaks <br />Advisory Board and Tom Jordan, Chairman, Senior Affairs Commission also spoke <br />in support of the proposal. <br />M /S: La Berge /Greenalch to approve in concept the construction of an <br />addition to the Fair Oaks Community Center funded by TEWCI and that <br />funds from the sale of the building be transferred into the City of <br />Redwood City funds and additionally that the possibility of adjacent <br />property for parking facilities be looked into. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. Parking for New Main Library (1104) <br />Report: Community Development Director 4/13/87 <br />M/S Greenalch /La Berge to approve review of a proposal for the construction <br />of a four -story parking structure at the corner of Main Street and <br />Middlefield Road to provide parking for patrons of a new Main Library <br />subject to the review requirements per the recommendations on page two <br />(2) of the staff report dated April 9, 1987. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote.
